i see means no spot light for the camera lah, unless the reverse light is bright enough,

Added on February 25, 2011, 7:29 pmalso, the boxes, Green yellow and red, If you approach an object, does it flash of tell you indicate you the object is near? And when you turn your steering, does the box turn, like those i see on alphard.
*
I dont think the new Forte reverse camera comes with that smart alphard/estima feature. It just a simple box only to guide u to relatively estimate the distance of the object behind your car

taipan052...
pls share your FC with SMK so he can put it as a sticky in front page...

1.6 4 speed
city driving = 7.3 L/KM
highway =

2.0 4 speed (taken from izputra exp)
city driving = 9 - 10 L/KM
highway = 5.9 - 6.1 L/KM (110km/h auto cruise)

*
I think for Forte 2.0 (4 speed), putting 6.5-6.7L/100km for highway (110km/h autocruise) would be a safe figure. 6.1L/100km that i managed to get during my trip from Alor Setar to KL i figured it out on purpose (drive with fuel saving methods in mind & light footed). So for normal highway cruising (110km/h) with some overspeed overtaking maneuver, 6.5-6.7L/100km would be an easy figure to achieve nod.gif

110-120, some places 90-100 depending on speed limit...
trying to avoid summon nowadays, hope to get "detector" soon.. haha
*
Me also..just follow the rule now. Dont want headache later on..

By the way, your FC on the highway is higher than me. Maybe due to many hilly roads on your trip or perhaps u speeding up to 120km/h most of the time

Both brand will do just fine to our car..but for me, if no BHP around, i will choose P rather than S tongue.gif

Proton's service are every 3 months?
But Forte regardless of using mineral or fully, at the end the cost are the same....
I assume that this table does not include workmanship?
*
Every 3 months or 5k km, which one comes first..same for all cars right (if using mineral oil)?

& yes..it includes labour charge except for the first 3 services wink.gif

Well..this table is the latest one since i just got this new info. Only updating on Forte 1.6 (fully syn oil). Credits to bro Taipan, Mr. Arul of KIA Selayang Service Centre & an anonymous LYN member for providing me the info smile.gif

Attached Image

Seems like there are only about RM2xx increase in maintenance cost for Forte 1.6 (fully syn oil) for 5 years duration. I noticed it is due to an additional item (cabin air filter if i'm not mistaken) been replace for every 30k km of service.

Well, that's freaking expensive... Mine service outside with smei-syn only rm100...
Anyway, 1 year rm9++ are not bad for Forte.
*
For every cars, servicing outside the authorised service centres will surely cost us much less nod.gif
