Is there a really BIG difference between 2.0ghz and 2.2ghz for i7 (MacbookPRO)? You pay a huge sum of money for that single upgrade hmm.gif

its not only the processor. its the graphics card upgrade. 2.0 is only using the 6490 256mb card, whereas the 2.2 is using the 6750 1 gb. big diff.

and in terms of the processor.. 2.0 and 2.2, quite a significant difference. theres a chart somewhere. i dont remember which thread.

sometimes i got an external monitor link with MBP.. but i thought it is not suppose to happen right? btw.. if my MBP is not plugged with the monitor.. i also have the same problem.

last nite i tried without plugged with monitor.. then got the same problem, i m not sure whether it is the wifi problem or not bcoz when i turn off wifi, it will go to sleep d.. i gonna try again tonite to verify tonite.. sad.gif

btw, when u guys MBP link with monitor, it will go to sleep or not?

EDITED: ... i tried to disable the AirPort.. but still cannot go to sleep.. ahhhh.. how  sad.gif

That's not the way it's supposed to work. I have an external LCD attached, Ethernet cable to a router, Airport on and connected, FW800 HD, USB to my iPhone, Magic Mouse, Wireless Keyb and Trackpad all connected and it still sleeps when I close the lid.

Check your console again, are you looking at the right log? What OS X version r u running?
*Oops, sorry I see you found the message already.

for not more than RM250,you can get upgrade to 8GB ram from retail shop, somemore you can resell your 2 X 2GB ram(but you have extra money, just go for RM670)
anti glare screen and 128GB SSD worth it

wow.. something new to learn.. i will look into that and find the wake reason.. thanks a lot!

Added on February 28, 2011, 1:07 am

btw.. i cant anything like Wake Reason when i try to use the search to find the matching string?  icon_question.gif

EDITED:
found it.. mostly is EHC1 or EHC2.. the problem is:
EHC: standing for Enhanced Host Controller, is another USB interface, but can also be wireless devices and bluetooth since they are also on the USB bus of a Mac.

still finding the way to solve it..

Can you post the the Wake : Success message for us to see?

no one can say if u should upgrade to 128gb SSD or not. different people have different usage. 128gb is too little for some, but some can get by it. how much space are u using on ur current computer? if u think u can manage having 128gb by offloading some less important files on an external HDD, then get the SSD

juz look for any 4gb ddr3 1333mhz RAM at normal computer shop. any RAM is compatible, but it's safer if u bring ur MBP n test it at the shop 1st. just in case

Hey guys, It's weird man. Everytime I touches my new mba 11" MagSafe connector, it shocks me. No matter it's power on or off. As long as it's plug in to the wall, it will give me a shock if I touch the connector head. I only touch the part where the led is.
This never happen to my mbp's MagSafe. Is it faulty ??

Hi guys, an old lurker back again after a 2-year hiatus. biggrin.gif
Just received my MacBook Pro 15" (Hi-Spec) via DHL a day after I placed my order.
Excellent service. Took it a day to reach my doorstep after I placed my order via the Online Apple Store Malaysia.
This upgrade is drastic when compared with my old White MacBook 13" (1,1) which got stolen!

Seems grounding problem to me. Do you use the 3-pin long cable to the PS block or the short 3-pin adapter connected directly to the PS block?

This one doesn't have ground connected:
