This is the 7th Version of the MacBook/MacBook Pro/Air Thread. I hope you macbook users can get along and share the joy of your MacBook. RULES SET LONG TIME AGO: 1. DO NOT SPAM When I say do not spam. It means do not post useless '1 sen' posts such as 'Apple s**** , too expensive .. without being constructive. You can say Apple Sucks but please do provide your reason. For example CODE I think MacBook Pro is overpriced. This is because I could get a laptop with a similar specification for half the price. On top of that , there are some heat-releated issues that Apple should solve with their MacBook Pro series. Overall for me , I don't think its worth it. Its just my thought 2. BE POLITE Please respect other members here and don't just start to flame. We should be thankful that the Administrators for giving this marvellous place I hope you enjoy your new MacBook/MacBook Pro/Air Thread v4: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1102183v5: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1391606v6: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1513971enjoy Apple store online: http://store.apple.com/myApple education store online: http://store.apple.com/my-k12MacBook Casing/Sleeves/Bags: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/994556Should you buy your Mac now or wait? see here: http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/General Mac Upgrade Discussion: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/990177FAQ: 1) CAN I PAY BY INSTALLMENT IF I BUY ONLINE IN APPLE STORE MALAYSIA? QUOTE(gzavincent @ Feb 16 2011, 02:54 PM) Congratz on V7!! Third to post anyway.... In reply to your questions in the previous thread. I just use my fingers to clean it or perhaps an eraser. One more thing you can check are the pins on on the Magsafe connector. They're spring loaded. Maybe one of them is stuck.

QUOTE(Lester1987 @ Feb 17 2011, 09:11 AM) personally i will advise u to connect ur adapter whenever it is possible when using the macbook. because if u let it drain and charge it back, then it will eat up the charge cycle and the battery will end up depleted and it will not be covered under the AppleCare protection plan even the date is not expired yet (3 years). But not 24/7 .. as from my personal experience .. replaced my battery 4 times already.. Most of the time, my charger was connected to the MBP.. my charge cycle for the previous batteries were less than 50 each but the batteries died so fast.. Added on February 17, 2011, 12:08 pmBTW, I've no idea if ACPP will cover the battery .. need to check on that.. mine they replaced it FOC because it was covered under European Educational warranty.. Added on February 17, 2011, 12:17 pmIt seems the battery is covered under ACPP if the charge cycle is below certain limit as per the following link. Guess if you've ACPP, do the 24/7 will save a lot of money Info can be found in this link: http://www.apple.com/batteries/replacements.htmlNotebook Owners Your one-year warranty includes replacement coverage for a defective battery. You can extend your replacement coverage for a defective battery to three years from the date of your notebook purchase with the AppleCare Protection Plan. However, the AppleCare Protection Plan for notebook computers does not cover batteries that have failed or are exhibiting diminished capacity except when the failure or diminished capacity is the result of a manufacturing defect. Apple offers a battery replacement service for MacBook Air and all MacBook Pro notebooks with built-in batteries. You can purchase replacement batteries for late models of Apple notebooks directly from the Apple Store. This post has been edited by wiraone: Feb 17 2011, 12:17 PM
