Information for New buyer SAGER LAPTOP

1st you must compare the laptop price
2nd the shippment cost
3rd the warranty given

Above three total then is the final price.
Then you will know which one is the cheapest in the market.

This thread seems dead..

It's bad news that we have to wait so long for SB laptops to be available without flaws..

Any of you already had 8150 or 8130?

It would be great to comment and review it here =)

None of the forum has lay his hand on 8130/8150... Segar decided to cease production as soon as intel announce that SATA degrade flaw.

Lol, hopefully the amount of posts increases in this thread once Sager SB laptops are on sale again =)

By the way, no one owns a Malibal in Malaysia right?
The laptops are very impressive with a simple exterior design, wow.

Hello, I would like to ask some really stupid questions... So please forgive me.
1. Has anyone encountered the dead pixel issue, and is the insurance worth it?
2. If I order from Mucro, is it possible to pay by installment?
3. How long will it take for my machine to reach me after payment?
4. Are the orders currently in a half due to the recall issue?

Thanks.

1) I think it's not worth it. It's VERY rarely that you get a dead pixel on your screen. I did not encounter any.

2) That I can not answer (I didn't order from Mucro)

3) Well, with the current state of the Intel processors, you will expect your laptop to be in by about March - April.

4) Yes. Like what I said above.

i hear there are alot of backorders, best if you can order one now so you can get a spot in line as soon as possible! otherwise you'd prolly wait till end april/may before the supplies get stable.

Malibal can ship international; a company that's based in the US won't necessarily mean that they won't ship international.

weird thing is when i try to create an account in Malibal, Malaysia is not listed in Country section. It means Malibal didn't ship to Malaysia? hmm.gif

Try emailing them specifically about shipping to Malaysia. For some resellers, there are "back doors" to ordering items... e.g. LPC-Digital gave me discounts when I asked them personally, and I didn't even create an account in their website. Maybe Malibal can do the same (ordering and ship to Malaysia without registering), I'm sure.

Lol, it is definitely able to ship to Malaysia.

But the main point is that it is based in US, the warranty issue would be troublesome as we need to ship it back to US for them to repair. Unless, we don't care much about the warranty?

That's probably why Sagers aren't as popular here in Malaysia, due to the costly warranty for us. It's like a do or die situation hahaha, except the "die" part has a very low probability of happening.
