cant wait to have my own ever first laptop

No problems, no dead pixel/bleed/problems with the screen. I don't know why notebookreview has so many bad screens. This new laptop appears alot brighter compared to my yellow 1420 screen too. Flawless screen I would say.

Just now my laptop shut down by itself. I was shocked to death of why it went off. I took off my battery pack, and plugged it in
Apparently its just the plug being loose xD

Hey guys, how easily available are mobile GPU's in malaysia?

there's one shop in Subang Jaya selling some performance notebook stuff, not sure if they sell mobile GPU as well.Found the shop name, ModernoPC, not selling mobileGPU haha "

Nearest would be Mucro which seems to be selling at their website (although, weird thing is that there got a page of Mobile GPU, but I'm seeing no products at all~)

Can I check whether those who have received the laptops, have any of you experienced random freezes as described in NBR threads?

hi cryogenist. So far, we haven't heard an issue of random freezes, except some user having small problem with their bios and unable to detect graphics device.

I can't make a conclusion until I heard one user experience random freezes.

Dead pixels , freezes , i hope i wont get any of em

ic... As you know in NBR, the culprit that is responsible for the random freezes is still not found yet.

I just asked my friend who have the 1st batch of NP8130, he say that he has experienced 2 freezes since his purchase.

I've been following that thread since day 1.

I myself have not been plagued with the freezes at all. Just issues with Corsair drives.

And your friend here, which first batch are you talking about? The one before the Sandy Bridge recalls or the first batch after the SB fixes (I am in this category)?

some said the freezes is caused by stock RAM during purchase, but I need to read the entire thread.

Hmm weird, I thought I saw the freezing issues being related to the Hybrid drive?

Apparently my eyes are getting painful looking at the bright white colour compared to my 1420 yellow screen :l

The first batch before the SB recall saga. My friend bought the laptop straightaway after it was announced. Haha.

From what he told me, the problem arises if he attempt to switch off the touchpad.
But from that NBR thread, those who never installed the Hotkeys drivers still experienced freezes.

DHL site says it still with DHL transit at KL. But my shipping address is in Kota Bharu, usually they pass it to local courier(POSLAJU) to send it

to me. Getting impatience d coz u only wait 1 day....btw enjoy ur new laptop
