Well a big aperture lens are always good for food but it depends on the user Is it good for portrait? it is primarily use for portrait Macro? it is not a macro lens, minimum focus distance is 45cm from your sensor to the subject, and not quite 1:1 magnification too. Good lens for the price tho, much better than canon's 50 1.8.

QUOTE(pikipiki @ Feb 19 2011, 01:25 PM) That's why buy a good one that is for your lens, those that the shops give FOC all ''made in china'' that cost rm3-5 i only use it to clean filter. And you need two micro fibre cloth, one for wet one for dry. do you mean that wet cloth and dry cloth to clean the body only? for lens is better use the lenspen right?

QUOTE(pikipiki @ Feb 19 2011, 01:25 PM) There's class 4, class 6(discontinued) and class 10, all different by the reading and writing speed. If you need to shoot video get the class 10, if not class 4 is sufficient. If you like to transfer you pic out everyday, then a 8gb card is enough to take 400+ pic, if not then get the 32gb. Filter, not necessary, you can always use the hood for lens protection. But in crowded area you never know what will happen and your lens might knock on something that scratches it. So let a 100 bucks filter got scratch is better than your 800-1k lens got scratch. thank you (:

I use a Zeiss lens cleaner solution when I need to clean my front element, but most of the times its just lenspen on the filter.

And nowadays kinda hard to differentiate from fake lenspen. And that day I saw some electronic lenspen with electronic brush that can spin away the dirt before you brush your lens.

I have a pair of very sweaty hands, have to wear glove when taking photos for a long period, otherwise I will "bath" my camera and lenses.
