I find sometimes picture still too bright when using 1.4 with 1/8000 sec, so no choice but put ISO to 100 to lower the brightness

QUOTE(makoshark @ Mar 1 2011, 10:18 PM) I believe the Tamron 17-50 would definitely have better optics and sharpness, not to mention the fast f/2.8 fixed aperture, which is very useful for low light shooting. But on the downside, it only extends up to 50mm only, compared to the 105mm of your kit lens. |

If shoot at f/2.8 or something might as well just buy the 85mm f/1.8D since it does ok at f/2.8 too lulz.QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Mar 1 2011, 10:08 PM) So do you find quality reduce when using 100? Nope. Perhaps a 35 f/1.8? 50mm could be a little tight

QUOTE(gnome @ Mar 1 2011, 10:54 PM) My friend now really into primes now, keep racun me to sell all my lens and go primes I took 85G instead of 135 f/2 because of the f/1.4 factor atm he using 35mm F/2, 50mm 1.4G and 135mm F/2 DC He said wanna get 85 1.4G at first but got the 135mm DC instead Can use slower shutter + bigger aperture -> more light than the 135 f/2. |
