i seem to be having a wee bit of problem with my unifi VIP5..

1 week ago i started downloading using direct download service by RS using IDM. in this 1 week, i've downloaded approx 100GB of files.

until about 2 days ago, my DL speed has been quite consistent, clocking about 600-650kBps...but now, its more like 200-250kBps...

i'm wondering if they have implemented the cap on me since i've downloaded heavily over the past week or so. i'm still downloading, but at the slower speed. if the cap is not implemented, what could be the problem? i'm in Damansara Perdana area.

also, this is quite funny really...

when Unifi tech installed the service for my apartment, they found the speed not up to specs. after they did some minor troubleshooting, they say quality of the phone line from the riser to my unit is not good...and they advise me to repair it. also, they say i shouldn't sign on the paper to 'Accept' the installation as i'm not getting the speed i'm paying for.

that was 3-4 months ago. and because of that, i'm yet to be billed over this 3-4 months. every month the bill came and amount due is RM0

i was happy the few couple of months, but now i'm getting worried. should i give them a call and they them they haven't billed me since the installation? or should i just keep quiet?

will they like back charge me 1 shot suddenly for few months of services?

Not about call..its about hypptv or unlimited usage..5mbps scared later become 1mbps lidat only..if vip 10 got 10mbps, maybe after if slow also got around 4mbps? So stucked

Constant 5Mbps downloads can reach 60GB in a mere few days. Hope they cap the speed from 5Mbps to just 1Mbps. If lower than 1Mbps, that would be a devastation.

Biz5 or vip10?

How did you resolve your problem? Ironically my friend is having a similar problem as yours, but I can't help him resolve. Check the setting in STB everything ok, and the STB can even obtain an IP, just that there isn't any picture but a satellite with a cross. Hope you can share more.
