What do u expect of Acer Malaysia??

This just happened yesterday and the only SB laptop they have currently is only 5750G... Compared to their many other laptops, they would be least concern about this..

Neh, I was referring to all brands... I don't think they update as fast as the people here laugh.gif
Its going to be a problem that they're going to have to handle eventually hmm.gif

a massive recall??? nah, Intel won't do that...

as they say, u'll need to work out with the OEM urself and settle with them... as far as Intel is concerned, watever problem mobo that the OEMs bring it, they will replace it for free...

are SATA ports 2~5 being used in Acer 5750G laptop?

it seems if it is just using ports 0 and 1, then it should be fine.

i doubt resellers are bothered with this... do u think they really care?

u dun buy there's still thousands who dun know abt the issue and went ahead to buy...

seriously i can foresee 1yr down the road ppl complaining their Sandy Bridge laptops breaking down...
*
Of course they care, Mucro does. They've been great with replies to me about this.

They'll keep me informed.

Plus Sager has halted shipments of laptops because of this problem.

However, if you did purchase a 2nd gen Core i5 or Core i7 system in the past few weeks, please contact your manufacturer. Intel will be working with OEMs to provide replacement motherboards as necessary.

so no pt bashing Intel here (if u plan to), since it's the OEM that u re dealing with...
