Basically, both kernel have root function. Speedmod need to enable thru recovery and everything is taken care by the kernel. Voodoo works differently. It is already rooted but u need superuser app from the market.

Any sifu out there,
how do i set up my SGS the safest way to enable it to detect ad-hoc connection so that i can connect my phone to my broadband as my area doesn't have proper data plan for phone

I've read many articles that android doesn't support ad-hoc for now,
any tweak there?

Play around with touchwiz more. Also, ignore quadrant score. It is useless for hummingbird chip used in galaxy s.

It flicker (short flicker) when you pull down the notification bar is it? Or when closing or opening an app? I do face that, I think this is speedmod bug!

Same with me. But it doesn't bother me, so I didn't do anything. If you found a solution, do share with me. hehe..
FYI, I am darky ROM, not DXJPA.
