never wait. if you need a new phone right now, buy it now.
but honestly, i would prefer a DHD over a SGS, bigger screen (no S-AMOLED, but the HTC screen is acceptable), flash for camera (very important feature for me), HTC Sense (makes is usable out of the box), and no lagging issues.

*
yup flash is actually quite useful, i would like it too, but DHD's camera has some issues too... the sharpness thing, i tried the tweaks and cant find the right setting during my times with DHD...

once u go amoled u wont go for other screens hahaha... DHD is bulky, a 0.3" addition adds to the weight, not to mention the washed out colors u will see... Was kinda shocked to see the green color of the android market on my SGS when i switched to SGS from DHD... nvr knew that DHD's LCD screen washed out that green color so much...

HTC sense... erm... a bloatware to me if u ask me, nvr really most of the widgets provided... hahaha and hey, DHD lags my friend... but of coz it can b fixed with a toggle on the usb debugging... still its a flaw right???

each phone also got flaws but its highly dependent on user preferences... ^^
like me, cheated by both phones but i'm willing to be cheated by samsung ngek ngek ngek

Never knew DHD has a flaw.

Anyway, HTC Desire (not the HD one) also have one flaw. The touch screen can only detect two fingers and it will miss registered the touch points if these two fingers cross each other. Example, if one fingers touching the left part of the screen, the screen registered it on the right by following the other finger.

One of the reasons I ditched Desire for SGS after two months.

DHD flaws arent too great, but its still flaws... and to me the annoyance is far greater than SGS... XD i cant believe u cant view what u record in 720p or should i say its not capable of viewing it... (i had been dwelling at this for weeks now XD)

oh not to mention GPS has problems too... u cant cover the top of the DHD, it will not receive any GPS signal that way, i had a casing on and i tot there's a problem and after a few days i took out the casing and it locked just fine but not fast anyways XD

Do you think because of the software restrictions / development capabilities or because of Qualcomm which makes me think of SGS2. How is the performance when rumors (has it been confirmed?) said it will be equipped with Qualcomm.

I'm using Darky 9.2 Extreme Edition (via CWM).

No bugs detected so far.

I have also put aside Launcher Pro Plus for a while. Using Go Launcher Ex now....not bad actually

its becoz of the hardware chip from what i know since its hummingbird that makes all of those 720p + 30fps and all the different support for other video format possible

guys...i cannot open up the LBStestmode using *#*#1472365#*#*

it just nothing happened when i keyed in the code...weird..happen from darky's 9.0
*
check if you have LbsTestMode.apk in /system/app folder

About the camera discussion. I don't mind not having led flash. Even if you have one, taking pictures with led flash in the dark will not give you a good picture after all. Let say, you are going to a concert. You will bring your compact camera to take photos. Certainly not with your phone.

IMO, camera in the phone is useful for quick snapshots like barcodes, announcement on bulletin board, cute kids thieves, etc. For proper photography, get a good compact camera/dslr.

ya true arr...

y ler???

2.2.1 is only european, but still no big deal, the csc and modem can still b customized to our liking... for docs, we can use 2.2.1 coupled with a malaysian CSC with asia modem also... makes no difference...

i think the only difference is the locale i think...
