Sorry MODS...Off Topic

hehe..belum kena, belum tau smile.gif things like this happens when HQ of the company wanna kick out staffs, especially the senior top level staff to bring in fresh ones.
They will find faults in anything you do that is not work related and kick you out without any 'golden handshake'.
You will say that everything you did is legal whatever, but for other ppl seeing what you do is different.

I was called in by my company (actually, a consultant comprising of detectives and IR) that I was distributing illegal Bluray, DVD and CD disc and using the company address.
Even after I presented my evidence of legality, they still find faults with me and charge with doing not related work at workplace. My company laptop and files were all taken away.
During the 'cleansing', many staff were kicked out from my company for various reasons. And since I'm the one who is pro with computers, and always receiving not related packages of Disc, word when around that I am a DVD pirate especially for Prawn stuff...which totally untrue...even though I escaped with a warning for other charges.

Lesson learn for me, never mix personal stuff at the work place, never believe any of your colics and boss (seriously, even my boss got fired!)...and please be a cautious

ya, ok, will ask AMZ US for replacement on Dr. Zhivago. mad.gif

today got around 14 disc, some sharing....

1) Dr. Zhivago - very cool packing (if not broken) with CD for soundtrack. Picture is gorgeous. Definitely needed to be in for WARNER BROS Digibook series
2) BRIDGE OF RIVER KWAI - Sony outdone WB by adding a cover box for this DIGIBOOK. PAcking is top, picture is very good. I just hope TAXI DRIVER will be in this cool packing
3) CHE - CRITERION COLLECTION 2 disc - very beautiful movies, 2 CRITERION STANDARD CASE with box cover (like SANJURO & YOJIMBO), it will took me a month to digest this movie
4) DANCES WITH WOLVE - i would like to recommend this disc to your all, 7.1 surround, beatifully restored, never looked so good & this is the 4 hours extended cut. by the way, it came with very good cover slip.
5) RAIN MAN - good 1980s movie, good looking BD too, HANS ZIMMER movie score is very engaging. FOX has acquired MGM BD title, more to expect.
6) TRAFIIC - good looking disc, but weird that side A is BD, zide B is DVD, errr, why?
7) BLADE RUNNER - FINAL CUT- Finally i got this. I always love this movie but i paid too much for the 5 disc DVD version, so hesitate till now to upgrade. Picture is gorgeous. a must for RIDLEY SCOTT's fan
8) INSOMNIA - i also like to recommend this Bd to u all if anuy of u love "momento", directed by CHRISTOPHER NOLAN, stariing AL PACINO, ROBIN WILLIAMS & HILARY SWANK.
9) The NEW World - Terrence MAlick extended cut - 3 hours, i think i will keep this for years before watching, but very beautiful film
10) STARSHIP TROOPERS - my SONY BDP765 cannot read this, will try with OPPO later.

have not tested all disc, too tired yawn.gif

its not as easy as that...even during lunch time..when the company are looking into firing staff, so they do it any way they want to..I used to do this stuff at my work place..during breaktime also,
after i was called for a compliance 'interview', now, I dun even use the company computer to surf the net...or the company address for my personal packages.
Just be cautious..

Lucky my company not that serious...we are free to do anything at lunch time.

And taken those things is less than 5mins for me.

I work in such small company which not that tide policy. My company is as long you work smart and on time, internet is allow but if over abuse, then it will be block - by me, haha tongue.gif

My Singapore agent even worst, they got morning tea and lunch break everyday together with GM and my MD is actually there (he not join but he know it). He come to JB here one or two hours. 3 to 4 days a week. JB is principal office.

We get permission for receive own goods or use company courier service by own cost.

I do agree with you but its rather embarrassing when the Boss finds out your activity. My receptionist is one of the greatest woman in the world. She keeps my stuff under her desk and sends me a message via an encrypted email (Lotus Notes). But, for me it's a question of the prospect of having the rights to use companies resources for personal belongings. I do understand its against the company law / R&R /.

Thus far, i haven't been questioned of my activity but it certainly its been noticed by the management and they do know the activities. Well, my boss is not a fussy person and for him its one off issue plus i assume bosses doesn't want to lose an experts like you and others.

Chill cha..

Hahaha! That batman mask can be better, the box look extremely cheap printing, and it can't stand, unless you open the back cover and let the BD store dusk. tongue.gif

Anytime anyone could replace you nor-matter how experts you are. Boss never worried about this, and no boss is true appreciate how great you are, they do appreciate you when they need you, once you are obsolete, they will simply throw you to dustbin.

Just realized that Disney UK has quietly released Bambi 2. Its only available as a bundle with Bambi, but there does not seem to be too much info on it. Its probably region B locked, but Disney rarely messes up transfers and the pricing is decent on the bundle
