If Price is 4 digits, maybe.....

they need only Rm100 plus to make sth of 80 to 90 percent performance of DT770. I think if they double the cost to RM300, they willl be able to make something almost 95 percent performance of HDHD650, K701 etc.

HD668 sounds somewhat near (slightly better) than DT770 right out of the box, without amplification.

Hmm I've tried the HD668 with amp(RSA Shadow), It sound decent for a headphone with that price, price vs performance is good, but the mids isn't there, treble is very sharp >.<, bass is quite muddy.......
However the DT770 with amp is a different story. Please bear in mind that Beyer DT770 is a 250ohm impedence phone, it cannot work properly without amping. So, comparing without amp is not fair, so is comparing a 150+ bucks stuff with a 1000bucks stuff is not fair either. If the price is neglegted, DT770 simply just smoked the superlux HD668. I'm not saying that HD668 is not good, it is very competent headphone that sits well in it's price. Very competitive priced product. Conclusion: DT770 vs HD668 = cannot compare XD Maybe similarly priced creative or razer headphones, superlux just owns them. But vs audiophile range stuff, they stil have a long way to go.
Just my 2 cents, no offence ya TQ

hahahahhaa adui bankrupt aku XD but any of you wanna get it I can give discount now with free gift rclxm9.gif biggrin.gif

It is a great time to get it now since it is dirt cheap now thx to our good forumer despite the 'news' XD

Anyway, to future superlux owners and 'red-eyed' branded headphones fanboys, superlux cans are good. Their performance are well above their price but pls do not misunderstand and expect it to perform like a rm1000 headphones because it does not. This is only good for beginner in this hobby, or music lovers without budget, non enthusiastic. If you have the money or want something better, by all means you can go to get those really good audiophile level headphones. However, that being said, I still luv superlux! XD

wah my coming hd668 the mid isnt there, high too sharp and bass too muddy?? Isnt any better way to describe the sound other than these word.
I think that guy really got "red eyed".
you could just say they are different and you would prefer more established brand. But never quote something like that in the superlux fans club.

I was just reading the reviews of the 668B over @ Head-fi http://www.head-fi.org/products/superlux-hd-668-b/reviews and was surprised that one of them put up his/her HD650 for sale after buying the 668B shocking.gif

Not necessarily so, maybe his GF's birthday coming up so he needs to sell his HD650 for the money to buy a nice birthday present. Sherlock Holmes says 'never assume'. tongue.gif

Yea, they do. HD650 is more warm I guess. I have not heard the 668B and I only recall what the HD650 sounds like based on memory but judging from what's posted here, it seems that the 668B is brighter than the HD650.

Hahaha... very true, 1 is bright, 1 is warm... that's why i said the fella bought an expensive headphone that's not suitable for his taste. Or... he just got bored with warm sounding, and turn to the bright side.

Don't WAR, Superlux is just a headphone... a cheapo one (this is a positive fact), we just need to enjoy the music. I own Beyerdynamic DT880 250ohm (which i like very much) and Samson SR850 (Same driver as Superlux 668B, also like very much)... every headphones somehow have different sounding, either you like it, if you don't like it, just buy other headphones.

Don't read too much reviews, listen it and judge yourself... if your ear tell you it's nice, then it's sure nice. tongue.gif

No problem one. Just say it out, as long as you be casual about it (and hopefully the fans remain civil too).
Not everyone here is going to use Superlux forever. I certainly have the intention to upgrade in the future... waiting for money to drop from the sky nia... LOL!
