True because I tried covering the driver because there isn't detail instruction found on the net. But around the pad, it becomes more comfortable. Thanks for the tips man!
no problem bro ENJOY the cans~

Received my HD669 from Trio.
My first impression, when it came to a few movies, Standard BlueRay Rips (I forwarded just to compare) It wasn't that much different than my RM35 G-Shark Headphones. Of course there were some "depth" but nothing that blew my head / mind. Tested it with 1 FLAC file (Taio Cruz) and I could notice some difference between the HD699 and the non branded one. I don't really listen to music on my computer. I have my ipod for that. Main reason I got the headphones were for movies and Tv Shows. Perhaps there isn't much difference because my audio source is from my motherboard (onboard). Will be receiving my Asus Xonar DX soundcard by tomorrow (hopefully). I believe with the addition of the sound card, the true power of this headphone could / would be unveiled / unleashed. Lets just wait and see In terms of usage: =Clamping force is really strong however, thankfully, my ears fit comfortably between both pads. My ears do get sweaty after about 20 minutes of usage. Edit: Any music / videos where you could hear certain instruments with an expensive / quality headphone and not on a cheap non-branded headphone? Edit2: After "burning in" for about an hour, I fired up iTunes, and played a demo of MGK's EST 4 Life, and suddenly, I could tell the difference from this headphone to my cheap non branded headphone. The difference is very noticeable where the cheaper piece sounds muddy and there is no "Omph" . Now I really can't wait for my Asus Xonar DX Sound card. QUOTE(kembar4 @ Mar 23 2012, 08:39 PM) Received my HD669 from Trio. Got my Xonar DX card today. Installed the original drivers, then the unified drivers. Enabling the Dolby features , paired with this headphone is like Magic. You could feel the immediate difference. Connected my cheap headphones to the onboard audio on my laptop and the sound suddenly became murky. Its like switching from a TN monitor to an IPS monitor. You wouldn't really feel the difference at first, as you're getting used to it, and then when you go back to the old technology , you'd see that there is a huge difference between what you have now and what you had before. Btw, the total "burn-in" is less than 12 hours. So i think there is a long way to go until 10 hours but at the moment, I have no complaints at all. Edit: The more i listen with the headphones, the more I am able to distinguish between a cheap non branded one and this unit. I would say, money well spent This post has been edited by kembar4: Mar 24 2012, 05:52 PM |

Noticed some slight cracking on the left side of my piece. Volume was always kept below 50, and the headphone isn't damaged in any way. Everything was perfect.
At first, I heard it in a movie, whenever the actors are speaking you'd hear some crackle. I thought, perhaps its the sound card since i installed an reinstalled different sets of drivers for a few times. Did a clean install of Windows 7 and installed everything as is. The crackling was still there, on the left side of the piece. I then tried the headphones on my ipod. The crackling became apparent with some music playing, whenever the music softens, and the vocals are in, you'd hear the crackling. Hopefully , the seller, Trio, has a solution. Already pm'd him, and waiting for a solution. Wish me luck |

Received my 669 from trio, very disappointed with the bass.
I played Tiesto - In Search Of Sunrise 7 Asia(FLAC) album. I try with full volume, PC and Galaxy S2, sound is very low. by default setting, the sound really sucks, after do some equalize setting, the sound is acceptable. But the bass is still very weak. |

Bass head like you should go for Sony XB500. Superb bass but you won't get the same Superlux's mids and highs.
