bro benny, i've successfully install Roto JMI V2...thanks for helping me. Details as below:

Baseband version: P1000XXJMA
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9 root@DELL104 #1
Build number: FROYO.XWJMI.Roto-JMI-v2

What he meant was : Go to Settings/Wireless & Network/Mobile Network/Network mode - there you can select manually to either auto mode or GSM or WCDMA

Or you download Quick Settings ( free app ) from Market and set this as a shortcut in homescreen

Album art : Try these

Your Mp3's have to be tagged with the album art before it will show up. 2 ways of doing this:

1. Use a tag editor ( MP3tag) , a freeware on your PC to embed album art before moving the mp3s over to the phone. :http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

2. Use album art grabber from Android Market.. it works brilliantly provided your on a wifi connection. It will do it all automatically for you.

Update us which works better for you.

I use iTunes in my MAC and is quite easy ; just select the individual song/or album and just import picture over by rightclick on album or song - select get album artwork. I have to first get the artworks manually by googling and place it in one folder
For those albums which I bought thro iTunes store the album artworks appear automatically. For those which I convert over from original CDs, most of it ( especially Western songs) the album art will also be auto assigned by iTunes

I found out that this firmware cannot use Z4root. So the only choice is SuperClick

yup,i face the same problem with Z4root.
Its better to go straight n use SuperClick

can anyone guide me to more Superuser resources?

Superuser is just to show your TAB is rooted. It is not an avenue for you to source for apps unlike Cydia which is a app store ( unapproved free and paid Apple apps ). Being a superuser means , you can now change your phone's kernels and roms. It also allows you to install certain apps that required access to the phone's system example screen shot apps, total backup solutions, rom recovery solutions etc

Those who have been following rom developemts would have known that are 2 "gods" in rom hack/flashing - Paul of Modaco and Cyanogen . Cyanogen is comprised of a few chaps who work together to offer us a better alternative. They have been working on a beta version 2.3.2 Gingerbread for the TAB. Developmental work on this is extraordinary. I suppose we should be seeing a release soon. Anyway you can try the beta version ; use Odin to flash it ( some stuffs don't work - if these not important, the rom is excellent and very slick/speedy - a signature of Cyanogen)

Hi Benny,
I tried as per recommendation to change file system to EXT4 but face some issues in below stages..
* Download the EXT4 TAR file from HERE..Done n OK!!

* Launch Odin 1.7 ,Tab connected,COM identified-OK!
in PDA select the TAR file ( do not select the ‘repartition’ option)...do i click START here on Odin?but i dun see any changes in the status bar!..did i miss anything here??

Not able to move to below stages!
* Odin completed, the TAB reset and freeze on TAB logo – is a normal condition . I switch it off ( hold down power button for 5 secs )
* Go to Recovery Mode ( Press down VolumeUp button and switch on TAB )
* TAB reset and perform the EXT4 conversion ; you can see all the conversion progress on screen
* Once completed, the TAB Reboot.
