So fast tried for it already? How the performance so far? Recommended to flash for this?

Belum-lah. I will try it later tonight. But based on the specs , very promising. As mine already on ext4 - it is easy ; just use CRM on the TAB itself - 5 mins max kautim!

guess they have the insider news of the upcoming SGT 2 and thus ditching SGT for now? But it's somehow too soon to ditch SGT before SGT2 releasing date is yet to be confirmed right?

Nevertheless, for me, I'm happy with my SGT right now... as long as it gets to Honeycomb, official or unofficial, I guess I will just stick to my current Tab instead of going for SGT 2.

PSP2 (Codename: NGP) is on my wishlist of this year by the way. smile.gif

yeah indeed. I guess with our current SGT specs, it should be able to last us till next year end until the price for those High Ended gadgets with the above mentioned specs to be affordable for us common folks with so little penny.
besides, there's usually aint no solid benefits to be an early adopter for high ended gadgets except for self-satisfaction. Cos usually when one high ended gadget appears in the market, usually there will be so many other similar devices come into market with competitive price. Then there begins the price war. Just look at our Tab with the upcoming Tablets.
So, patience is virtue icon_rolleyes.gif

Paul O' Brien of Modaco favorite apps on his TAB

http://android.modaco.com/content/samsung-...-my-galaxy-tab/

I prefer Newsroom over News Rob. I don't use the GB keyboard ( find keys too small ), tasker and widgets old

Looks like Custom ROMs from Modace other developers will be an alternative until we see Samsung rolling out official gingerbread update for SGT.

Anyway, any news on the official release date?

The best way is only to use Odin or Heimndall to flash - you need to have the stock rom files

Titanium only restore your restore your apps/data etc - if you have change rom, the rom remains ; TB from your original rom will not overwrite your new rom

So if you have such intention, please make sure you have a copy of your original rom before you flash

In just over the last 2 days, there are already few roms options available - Modaco, Roto, Galaxyer, Overcome plus 3 kernel upgrades and a beta Gingerbread based rom. Development work on the roms is indeed picking up. Just only yesterday I tested three of them

How the performance of Titatium Backup? Is it advisable to install .apk file without use the old data from previous ROM?
What're the outcomes so far from your testing?

If you wish to have your old data associated with your app to be restored, both Titanium Backup and MyBackUpro is equally good. However if i just wish to do selective restore, I prefer mybackuppro as I can choose/just tick multi apks at one go.

If you mean rom testing, Modaco beta 4 seems very stable and OK. Was on 1.02 then to 1.04. Now trying out Overcome 1.02 as yesterday tested 1.0 and 1.01 having phone functions issue. BTW all these rom flashing using CRM just takes amere 3 minutes , so testing it is quite easy and fast. Those I find OK I restore back my often used apps ( only 10 ) to assess further

I'd highly recommend a change of kernet to EXT4 from default RFS file system. Just do it using Paul R3 kernel - choose the right one if you are switching from RFS

Did you activate your card for data ? Normally for digi , normally you just dial *128# . There are so many digi packages - you just check your sim card booklet - there are instructions how to activate it yourself or you can call digi helpline. In the first place, your EZ package does it allow you data services ? I am using digi prepaid too ( is those normal call-data package)
