lol i was actually doing that for tha past few days, took out her dome for 2 hours each day as i sit behind n do my work. She seems to be more active n nibbles on my finger often but still never lets me to hold her, so no cuddle time yet

hahaha tat's so cute..i took out the hideout adi but the toilet i put the trasparent hideout..it's working she come out for food..hehehe..probably more comfident adi after few days..will continue bonding with her

i took out my dom too , dont worry about your yu wat. after i took away the dom , when i put it back my gp never even enter his dome

Don't worry first few months, GP usually depends alot onf the hide house. My Sotong also used to sleep, eat, pee, poop, bite the house (it's made of cardboard). Now he's so fat he can barely enter the house but I still leave it there. Once in a while, he'll go sit near it like people berteduh bawah pokok
Other times, he'll just step on the house (poor house).

Actually mine is not even a proper hidehouse, it's a square-rish cardboard box I got from Midvalley petstore to store Sotong when I first bought him back lol. I just cut two "doors" on the cardboard so that he can go through it.

Give your GP sometime ler. Still very young. Besides, you say she gave a low rumble when you pat her. If she's not baring her teeth or staring at you, it means she's starting to like you already. Keep up the good work

i let my Yu Wat smell my finger all the time when i give her her veges.. hope she will recognize my scent soon and connect the dots herself..

she has not shown much hostility to me, but when my gf was around last night, Yu Wat didnt come out much.. pissed off my GF a little as well.. Keep saying Yu Wat doesnt like her

Lol do I sense jealousy ar? But in any case, GP will only warm up to people they see frequently. Even my Sotong, although he's no longer afraid of people, he doesn't come out much when I send him to live with my aunt for a few days cause I have to go outstation.

He just comes out during his meal time and once in a while he'll walk abit aorund the cage that's about it. My aunt says he's so obedient never make noise. The moment I bring him back home, he RAN ALL OVER THE HOUSE. Yesterday he peed and wet his cloth tunnel. This morning, I think the tunnel is so wet he cannot tahan d, he go pull a dry cloth I put inside the cage to the tunnel. Then he sits on top of the cloth so that he is dry. What the...

Now he's so comfortable looking hugging his cloth inside the tunnel, we want to change the tunnel also afraid we will disturb his "cuddling time". Adei...

i just tried picking up my Yu Wat and cuddle with her.. she makes this sound, which supposedly mean she is happy, but she seems nervous.. though i cant be completely sure, since this is my first GP, anyone else care to share their experience?

as a note, she also makes the same sound when i stroke her back from head to tail, using my fingers like a comb. After a few stokes, she just seems to "melt" to the ground..

cant be too sure.. coz she seems so reluctant to let me pick up...

anyways, im giving her a small piece of treat whenever she lets me pick her up and cuddle.. 1/4 slice of an apple.. should be a good idea, right?

and i removed her dome already.. digging into/under the fleece towels now.. always have to re-line it every now and then... think its a good sign though...

wat cage u r using? i use fleece as well.. same like u .. my piggy like to dig into the fleece as well.. hence i go buy another coroplast same size as my base and i wrap top part of the coroplast with the fleece then place on to the base.. then only place another layer of morning towel..
