Let's see what Nikon has to offer, tempting enough to jump to D800 or not keke.

Surely better than D3s one. D7000's iso performance also stand not far away behind D3s already what, whats the point of making another camera which has the same capability like D3s already?
But dunno have to wait D4 or not 1st, because D700's engine actually came from D3 if I'm not mistaken, so can say D700 and D3 is damn similar one.

There's possibility that we might have to wait D4 then only D800 come out also. Hard to say.

Most thing from D7000 will be there. 2016, new sensor, new AF module and etc

Option 1, use Tamron only. I don't think you would even use the 1855 once you get the Tamron.

Hmm, I don't have any lens with that range. My experience with 2470 does not require VR.

For wide angle i would go for 10-24mm nikkor for non-autofocus motor

For DX like d90 i would go for tokia 11-16

Me too . tamron 17-50 can replace you kit len d. IMO

I'm using VC n I love it.... haha..... VC vs non-VC, I would juz grab the VC coz of the function, don care sharpness 1st, juz try handheld indoor without high iso, shoot on some words at distance n see 

My zoom lens all has VR , only lens without VR is primes for me .

I think the problem is about the focal length. The longer the focal length, the greater the shake will affect the image and thru your viewfinder it is as if there are some earthquake going on.

But below 60mm I think it is still ok without any IS/VR/VC, haven't tried any telephoto lens without VR tho. 

Its better if you go to the shops and try the VC and Non VC lens, see which one works best for you. Different people different requirement, some need it and some dont. For me VR/VC/OS or whatever its called are always welcome.
