i never said it's impossible .. i cume ckp susah ... lagi lagi moving object ..  i used FM2 and FM10 .. manual focus too. but to shot moving object is quite difficult .. unless u shoot model .. senang la .. u got time to adjust ur setting, focus ...  and for me .. even i shoot in studio i pakai Auto Focus.
*
Moving object use manual focus? doh.gif
makes me want to vomit. on BTS I tried it on miniature (still object) out of 10 photos 7 is OOF rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

i personally think . that instead of knowing which lens suits you .... how to use that lens .. this lens ... u better start learn composition. and learn to shoot using lighting ( studio light or speedlight )
Bokeh is nice ... but lighting will get u further .
*
studio setup is very expensive bro. you need to have many speedlites. plus the other setup etc etc etc.
I do agree lighting will get you further but it is a little too much for student like me. cry.gif

i gave u example of lighting ... such as speedlight or studio light ... but actually u didn't realize that u got lot of light source around u... available light ... tungsten ... flourescent lamp ...  and if u can buy expensive lens .. y dont u spend little on cheap lighting ..  if u too depends on Bokeh .. ur picture will end up boring ...  just my 2 cents opinion ..
*
Very true bro. well spoken I will consider that.

Does anyone knows what is the expected second hand price for a two years old Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8?

The lens is in mint condition, it is protected with the filter since day 1, but there's one small white mark on the lens's front element (It's on the rim of the lens, it doesn't seem to affect the image quality, I am not sure if it's removable or not)
*
I saw 1 on garage sale for RM 3300.

QUOTE(skycrawler @ Jan 25 2011, 09:08 PM)
Oh, dunno dat..hehe..Wat I mean is cleaning kit or free upgrade 2 8Gb MicroSD..

3300rm for a 24-70? man that's a steal.

usually i check photomalaysia for second hand lens price average. 24-70 is perhaps around 5krm.

QUOTE(Kiki-Lala @ Jan 25 2011, 09:29 PM)
RM3k+- price mostly would be 17-55 second hand price.
*

nikon never said its lenses are weather sealed. but most of us knew it from experience that the lenses can and do appear weather resistant. to what extent? well up to your luck i guess tongue.gif

i've used my camera with the 18-70mm in minor rain a couple of times without cover. no problem so far *touch wood*

the 18-70 do has this rubber thingie at the mount part though. not bad for a kit lens smile.gif
*
even I bring my 1855 during rain. but still works perfectly. brows.gif
weather sealed? I think for such a cheapo lens like 1855 nikon wouldn't implement that.

Im buying nikkor len . But i dont have my DSLR here , left at hometown. ><" , i try to borrow the camera to test from the camera shop

1. Check the warranty.
2. Check the Glass (Glass inside?)
3. Check the focus
4. Using focus chart (Wonder they provided or not)
5. Check the outer
6. Check the scratch

Any more beside what KTCY and aldo said.

Thank to you two anyway
*
you can get the focusing chart on google.
and I suggest you to test with your very own camera.
