Just now with my family went to Guan Yin Temple in Melaka to pray, I saw a fella using 24-70L and 5DmarkII also. After I took out my camera, he walked away
Fyi, you only can achieve 8fps if you use MB-D10 battery grip with EN-EL4a battery, AA battery or power plug ya.
Aye dark lord!

hey edward 5D mark II is lost in overall comparison to 2 years+ aged D700? Of course aside video feature.
Just know that I tot 5D wons. hahaha

hi sifus and others,
i have a few questions here
1) do you actually shoot raw when shooting models? or just stick to jpeg
2) whats the post processing software you use and which and where to find a free pp software (downloadable from internet) that is good other than ViewNX?
My contribution to nikon d3100 users... below is a collection of pictures taken at same settings but at different aperture numbers... all taken on tripod
http://www.flickr.com/photos/58860192@N05/...57625958957362/i think f10 is the sharpess, let me know which f no. looks sharpess to u ya =)
Note that the two oranges were grossly blurred at f5.6 and slowly getting sharper as the f number rises...this is when the depth of focus becomes deeper and more things are in focus... all these are at the expense of slower shutter speeds... at f36, shutter speed was close to 30s! =D
Lol. I thought you wasn't into D3100. as you mock it previously. but geek has chosen the best as his budget allow

QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Feb 5 2011, 06:12 AM)
Don't be shy to voice out your budget here please. No one will laugh at you even if you having only RM2-3k budget ya. We are all trying to help here.
You don't tell, we can't give advice as well.
Added on February 5, 2011, 6:15 amBase on what I feel myself, Nikon is nice for taking solid contrast colour images, while Canon produces more soft and warm colour images.
Most people says Nikon is best for artistic photography, while Canon is better at human portrait photography.
Just my 2 cents own feel ya. Different people has different opinions on this.
really? I thought we can modify the color tone?
I my Portrait is less saturated nowadays. <- canon alike

QUOTE(Tony Stark @ Feb 5 2011, 06:54 AM)
why dont u go for the D700? u might as well go now rather than 'upgrade later' since ur budget allows u

during my early times on DSLRs, my uncle told me that i should go for the semi-pro body instead of investing on an entry level body. i didnt listen to him and i bought an entry level DSLR. as i move on, i feel the need of the FF. so i sold my entry level body since im not using it anymore. and all my other EF-s lenses too. as for nikon system, one can use the DX lenses on FX format DSLRs. so why dont u jump straight to FX for that matter? just a personal opinion
if not, the D7000 / D300s would suit/serve u just fine..just like edward said
FX lens mahal sangat lah brader

cannot tahan.
and yeah I did choose Entry level body.
Quite disappointed. but that was my budget can't complaint tough, hahaha..
Just reach back to KL from SG.
Long and tiring trip will spam later.
1 thing I found out funny is. got 1 big daddy bring 70200 + 1D Mk something to universal studio.
he tried to do family shooting while expecting to get the background (the big rounded universal ball <- looks like globe) as well.
I bet he is suffering

Ohhh.. The sexy white lens with the red ring.
