Wouldn't surprise me if custom Sense ROMs enable it. IMO homescreens look weird in landscape. They get squished vertically.
Even on stock, using any launcher in Market, you can enable it to rotate by sensor detection. No biggie. This post has been edited by DJFoo000: Feb 24 2011, 08:14 AM |

weird flashing radio was never brought up in this thread, while in DHD they talk about it like eating rice.
Here's one that was supposedly working great for many: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=959488 Anyone with any experience with it? Just curious about how do I undo the flashing of a radio. Does restoring a nandroid backup undo it? P/S: Liquid Metal port getting progress! QUOTE(TheDeadCpu (XDA) ) I can happily inform that the we've gotten the keyboard and buttons working. (no backlight on the keyboard yet though, not as important ATM) Thanks to HomerSp from the VillainROM crew! This post has been edited by DJFoo000: Feb 24 2011, 08:38 AM |

nope. Never had that problem.
Found this on the net. Give it a try: http://www.htcforums.com/desire-z/7125-txt...e-problems.html I find myself using the physical KB more and more often. I'm actually starting to like it! This post has been edited by DJFoo000: Feb 24 2011, 05:34 PM |

yup, really love the physical keyboard too. coupled with the subtle autocorrects (apostrophes etc) offered by Smart Keyboard, it really makes typing on my dz as natural as the keyboard on my computer
downside is ofc, its practically impossible to type on the physical keyboard with one hand This post has been edited by YuuYuu: Feb 24 2011, 06:31 PM |

Simply put, Whatever ROM you flash, whatever you backup, whatever you do in the /data partition, your radio does not get affected. |

yeah were caught in some situations where the phone loses signal. Planning to try a new radio but do not have a backup plan. Still trying to locate the stock radio image.
P/S: Liquid Metal ROM ported! Final touches before the dev releases it. This post has been edited by DJFoo000: Feb 25 2011, 10:50 AM |

lol i saw that XDa thread too. Lurk in XDA. haha. Wasn't sure. Any will do?
the one in my phone now is 12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.26_M The closest match I see is 12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26 Differences are the bolded alphabets. And I didn't flash ENG HBOOT (and don't plan to, later when need to unroot lazy do one more step), so unless someone has a PC10IMG.zip containing it, there's no backup plan for me. Or is it as simple as creating a .zip file, throw the .img in it, and naming the zip PC10IMG? This post has been edited by DJFoo000: Feb 25 2011, 02:28 PM |

Hi guys, I'm a first-time noob & really need some help here. Hope someone can.
I bought a Desire Z 2 weeks ago and passed it to a friend to be rooted and flashed to 2.3 with CM7. He did it and it came back fine. But now its developing some probs. Gps not working. Today, wi-fi suddenly conked. Only hsdpa works. I'd like to unroot my phone & set it back to ori but to my horror I found out that my friend did not do a backup prior to flashing the phone. I know, dumb, but I am desperate to make it go back to factory mode, if anything so that I can backup the original Sense ROM b4 I get it flashed again. My question: is there a version of Sense ROM out there that I can download & reinstall back to my phone? Or some other way to do it? Thanks a bunch! |

Ads only appear when you're connected to the internet. Check if your WiFi is on, or you have data enabled. If I'm on WiFi I wouldn't be bothered to find ad removal apps. Angry Birds is freaking awesome, and I don't mind funding the devs by having some ads appearing when I'm playing. I'll be worried if I'm not on WiFi, though. Wouldn't want data sucking money out of my precious prepaid purse. QUOTE(htcdzc @ Feb 25 2011, 03:17 PM) Hi guys, I'm a first-time noob & really need some help here. Hope someone can. LOL i wouldn't trust a friend who doesn't do a Nandroid backup. Good practise aside, it saves your ass from these kind of situations. You'll need someone to donate their Desire Z stock nandroid backup to you, then perform the unrooting steps.I bought a Desire Z 2 weeks ago and passed it to a friend to be rooted and flashed to 2.3 with CM7. Promise him you'll do a factory reset and won't be abusing his info. |
