personally prefer MIUI over Sense HD (for now),
reason is Sense HD comes with too many unnecessary apps,
and MIUI gives a different experience compared to Sense.

BUT that's just me.
I still suggest that you try out both.
the most hassle part is just restoring data and apps.
you can play with the ROM a bit first before restoring.
not that hard.

MIUI user here but I never try Sense HD before.
only can give u comment if compare MIUI with original sense UI.
I will said, never u-turn back to sense ui anymore.
MIUI is fast, if you still want faster, disable all animate and disable high-quality graphics launcher.
But I did not disable both, it's still fast.
Still not enough? instead using original bundled MIUI kernel, flash other performance kernel.

I also consider before ASOP gingerbread rom available now, but it's too bored because the developer want to keep it clean and stable at this moment. So I will not jump from MIUI at this moment. hopefully MIUI team are working on gingerbread MIUI now.....

I will also suggest as phantomash said. try it urself to experience if can. MIUI and Sense HD are completely different.

all miui is based on app2sd. Just flash and your good to go.

Data2ext is a new thing they are working on. It's still in experimental stage.

If your looking for something stable and can't deal with random reboots, go app2sd.

App2sd already gives me random reboots. doh.gif

Just curious though, what's the advantage of data2ext?

mainly large internal storage, because your EXT partition is detected as internal storage.

A2SD has never given me random reboots at all. Not a single time. Maybe you didn't full wipe?

Data2ext gives a larger storage as all the data is pushed to the ext partition.

I just flashed to the latest miui, will stick to this till gingerbread for nexus is released... what can i say is the latest miui pretty fast compare to previous, disable the quality graphic in the launcher setting really make lotsa improvement and smooth scrolling.
