It's been 10 days since i last switched to Oxygen RC6 ROM. Heard that Nightly CM7 just came out.

I went through the XDA forum @ this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...88#post10489688

A few question need to ask.

Do i need to do from step 1? it looked to me that step 1 is just a guide for root.

for question 2, i d/l the google app , and when i try to download the CM 7 ROM, it has 2 files, do i need to download both?

I am kinda confused here. Any simple guide for me to flash this rom?? And it's a Gingerbread ?

Thanks in advance

Dload rom and gapps
flash rom, reboot recovery, flash gapps, activate firerat.
Done.

Gapp=google apps. Being separate because google ask too

Thanks for reply, there are 2 ROMs for download, do i need to download both and flash both at the same time?

meaning, boot recovery, full wipe, flash ROM 1 and ROM 2, reboot again to recovery, flash gapps. activate firerat?

May i know that activate firerat is being done at the recovery mode or during the startup?

Actually, most of the Desire custome ROMs are more stable now in term of battery life. I tried Aurax, Lee Droid, RchMix HD and currently Oxyegen RC6, the battery performance are more or less the same. when i off the screen, average usage 1% per hour which i am using it as my battery benchmark. If your Desire can achieve that it's all good. The rest of the on screen usage, it's depend on your sync, update, play game or other setting.

Using terminal. I can switch when i like.  brows.gif.  I want to know, how you flash your recovery?
*
Well, first i use unrevoked 3 to flash the clockword, but it stop and prompted me a message " failed to update, is your firmware too new?"
Then i tried use ROM manager, but it can only give me clockwork 2.5 and failed to flash CM7.
Then i tried terminal, and typed command flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img( i downloaded recovery.img into the sdcard in the first place) but the terminal gave me the message flash_image not found.
Then i tried use unrevoked again, and it corrupted my recover, but i flashed back to RA recovery to overcome it.
Finally, just before my phone went dead, i tried to use unrevoked again. and it stopped because my battery went dead after all the activities. and It came down to this until i revived my dead Desire.

No sienz. Go flash a new ROM  tongue.gif

I'm currently running on LeeDroid 2.3b  blush.gif  Haven't even found the time to update to 2.3d

So far so good but there's this habit of my Desire freezing at the LeeDroid bootscreen animation when I turn off and turn on my phone. I'd have to remove the battery and try turning it on a couple of times before it booted normally. This won't happen if I perform soft reboots. Only when turning on and off and back on again. Rather odd. But other than that, it works like a charm.

Been keeping my eye on the gingerbread ROM's. Anyone compared Oxygen to Gingervillain yet?  biggrin.gif

Bro, try redux if you want to try gingerbread ROM, the most stable of all. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
