hehe... thanks!

Also, a question about GPS, you guys usually use online ones? i didnt plan to get any data plan yet so i cant online much as i go so i might need to use a offline version... anyone has a good suggestion? papago is online one?
*
Other than PaPaGo you can try iGo. Offline GPS. Personally I prefer iGo because of its routing and interface, can do landscape. The only drawback compare to papago was no Juction View. But good routing is what I look for.

Do I need to reflash the LeeDroid ROM after changing Hboot in order to get the new partition sizes (System/cache/data)?
Current running ROM will be intact after changing Hboot?
*
it wont . just do nand back up before changing hboot .

unrevoked works with 0.93, so you don't have to downgrade

Hi all. I'm just sharing my frustrated experience for last few days. sad.gif

My phone was bricked because I installed different RUU and make the LCD blank. Actually I plan to flash back to stock ROM. I already I tried a few methods including Goldcard method and sadly its not working.  rclxub.gif

Until this morning, I installed with correct RUU (RUU_Bravo_Froyo_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.13.707.1_Radio_32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_143921_signed) for my Desire. Still using Goldcard method, I manage to fastboot, check the CID no. (HTC__044 - I guess for Desire set in SEA) and load PB99IMG.zip extracted from the RUU.

Walla, like a miracle when suddenly its display Bootloader/Hboot and flashing the zip file. Now, I'm back with Rooted 'Stock ROM' rclxm9.gif

You are lucky that you have gold card before your screen goes blank. Plus, i like method to run using pb99img instead using pc.

the first and foremost...ROOT...and method to root just simple, using unrevoked. you must have driver, no need to install htc sync. just tell me that you want the driver.. then i will give it to you..

after you done this. come to me again..i teach the second method.

i do this..becuase you still dont know which one need first..

@ Bro TYJA,thx bro, I have already rooted and flash rom Before CNY just that when I'm using LEedroid the phone keep having memory problem and I believe I must have did smth wrong.( dunno which recovery image I'm using coz I didn't download any recovery image , just download the rom and flash rom.... need assistance in the guide.then I did a nandroid backup before flash rom so I reverse to nandroid because after I flash I wrongly follow some steps by the bros here maybe I pandai pandai go and delete all my data.....
so now I have a rooted phone running on Stock froyo.

@ bro Hazril,
I follow the unrevoked video and rooted, but certain steps inside wasnt really exactly the same ( I couldn't find Hboot option)

Actually is not. I don't made any before it bricked. I think most important is to find correct RUU. I guess, lucky that I have generic Desire set.

Btw, just sharing this link in case other member facing same problem.

you must know which version lee droid that you dload. i mean with a2sd or no a2sd.
even you are using lee droid with a2sd, it doesnt mean you can fill up all ext partition that you have create before. let say you have 512mb ext partition. you will never use it all. this is because, some of application memory size still store in data partition. if you stick with lee droid, you will get about 147mb after clean instal. not like us who are using cm7 hboot (you need to s-off and change hboot partition), we can fully utilize ext partition as we have 300++ mb on data partition.

there's no wrong method which must come first. if you want to have clean and nice installation, just wipe data, cache.system, boot (i assume you are using clockworldmod recovery after you have done rooting), and then find lee droid with a2sd (if you dont have) and flash.

if you already done rooting, thats mean you already have recovery. no need to worry. when you perform vol down+power, you will enter white screen. that is hboot.

Guys, if I opt for Leedroid, and assuming I partitioned the SD card before flashing, everything will be ready for A2SD+? I don't have to do any additional things? And also, what do I gain from S-OFF? For now, my main priority is just A2SD+. I still have not much applications and data inside my Desire, so I decided to do all this now so that I won't have to worry about backup, etc. Maybe just a Nandroid backup in case the flashing goes wrong.

yup..make sure u donlod leedroid with a2sd.
if u s-off, can change hboot, one of other things..
since ur main priority is data, and u use sense rom, has nothing to do with s-off.
