I would get a seagull http://usseagull.com/EnProductShow.asp?ClassID=69&ID=124btw patryn do you know of any seagul dealers in malaysia? would like to check out the watch in your above link. Hi all Sifu-s, Im new to this forum, been reading all the posting on watches. Dreaming and working hard to get a Rolex Submariner. Was at 1U over the weekend, bought this Louis Erard Heritage for RM2052. http://www.montres-louiserard.ch/collectio...ele=342&type=1#Im not sure if this link works fine. Can some sifu tell me how do I post some shots up here? Im curious to know from the sifu-s here if this is a good buy, or I got ripped off. thanks. Attached thumbnail(s)

Hang Tai shop at SS2 also carry seagull watches. Just drop by the shop today. They offer good discount on EPOS watches. Make me itchy to get one after CNY.

QUOTE(ck77 @ Jan 29 2011, 08:49 PM) Owned 1 which I think Ball is one of the best entry level Swiss watch, IMHO. i did survey before buying my Tag (think i even PM'ed you). I wouldn't call Ball entry level, least the price isn't entry level.. Oris is more entry level in comparison to Ball. I think the Oris TT1 is an awesome watch, but don't know why when it was on my wrist I just couldn't accept its odd unique shape. Their BC3 DLC would be a great entry level piece..against Ball's entry level piece..and if i'm not mistaken the Oris would be cheaper. NOT MINE more pics http://www.watchtalkforums.info/forums/oris-forum/47057.htm

many ppl think swiss quartz are build equal. No one really care who make swiss quartz. Ronda seem to be popular and apparently there are ETA and ISA. Are they all build equal? anyone have insights into these? http://www.watchpartsoutlet.com/watch-movements.htmlhttp://www.ofrei.com/page_197.htmlhttp://groups.google.com/group/alt.horolog...d1008b94674ee46QUOTE ETAs are jeweled(functionally), don't drop coils too often(not counting the ham fisted shop staff) and just generally a very well built movement. Well.. within reason and size dependent (see below). The Ronda/Harley stuff look and are cheap, generally 2 jewels, but still not too bad. They do drop coils with more regularity, but tend to not rust as badly as the ETAs when they get wet, as their hand set parts are more exposed, not enclosed into a crevice like the ETA's.
All in all, i'd say the ETA 955, 555, 255(maybe) etc.. modules will outlast the average Ronda. However, anything below 8 lignes, do not even bother with ETA. Get the Ronda or better yet, the Miyotas. Oh... Happy Lunar New Year! This post has been edited by patryn33: Feb 3 2011, 12:30 AM
