I've tried both, in my own 2 sen opinion syn gut has a core and multi doesn't, tht makes the syn gut more durable in terms of tension stability n the string itself, but lack the comfort as compared to multi. hope this help, bro Prae is better at this so let's see what he got to say:)

Fidel, come I challenge u ctl tomorrow:) want?
*
Hahaha to be honest, I have not used normal synthetic gut for years now, ever since poly has come out thats my go to string, as for multifilaments, I have even less experience with them as I have heard they were trying to emulate the feel of 'natural gut'.....I have used natural gut in the early 80's so I never bothered to try multi's.Your guess is as good as mine, if not better! <3

vobs, you dont tangan gatal....if need to vist chiro again.....just rest and play ps3 tennis, I heard Topspin 4 will be released in March or April.......:-p (kipas heheheh small one lah )

In my opinion, Nike CB 1.3 and 2.3 has very good durability. Barricade also has good durability. CB has better protection at toe areas but heel area is one of the weakest part. Barricade has much better heel protection but toe are is weaker than CB.

If you are a toe dragger, CB might be better shoes for you.
saw this posted in TW forum

as i am a toe drager, i'll be switching to ballistec after this

so vobs, when r we changing to the ballistec? hmm.gif  hmm.gif

( i help to kipas vobs oso prae)
*
Hmmmm angel I have never used the court ballestics before, but I have seen and held them 'live', I am very sceptical that the toe area for the CB especially the 1.3 has better toe drag durability than the Barricades....the 2.3 I am not so sure about as I have read that the rubber sole material is not the same as the CB1.3, now that the 3.3 is out I have heard that the compound used for the sole of the 3.3 is 20% more durable than 2.3, this is why I am seriously thinking about getting this shoe, however I think I will wait for the new season of 3.3 to come out hopefully the older season the price will drop *significantly* and can ask help from *ahem* :-p

If you are a toe dragger it must be when you're serving, or may be sliding into your shots...I am not a toe dragger.....

I have also heard if you want to get the 3.3 go up half a size, just for a more comfortable fit.:-D

no lah I am not scolding you fidel .......but you guys must let him recover 100% from his injury, its very disheartening and frustrating for player to be injured and out of the game....so please let him recover 100%, after that he can play all the games he wants till you guys vomit blood :-p.....but if you kipas him and he ular and plays and if he re injures himself....he is only hurting himself....also he may injure another part of his body........no point....I dunno if vobs is part/full time coach, if he injures himself it will hurt his rice bowl, so please help him get better but encouraging not to play but go for rehab and rehabilitation exercise, later on you win and he wins, and everyone is happy.

I am not aiming this at anyone, vobs is a grown man, he is surely capable of making his own decisions, I only wish him the best and a speedy recovery, as I also hope, if possible if I come to KL this year I'd like to play with him and everyone else, hopefully we can give each other pointers and tips. (I'd be really sad if I plan a trip and he is out of commission, and cannot play: '- ( as I'd like to meet all my pals on lowyat. <3

whoa! true also la, im a grown man indeed heheh, injury really hurt my rice bowl abit, cant really give my best on court:) u tell me when u coming down kl, i will budget those time and make sure my hand is as strong as nadal to play u hehehe....thanks for the concern bro....will rest la.....ps3 here i come:)

fidel: dont talk nonsense ok! 1 jari how to hold racquet to beat u? heheheheh.......maybe 5 jari i believe la hehehe.....well, btw fidel beat me on court before la, so im not as good as u guys think.....u give me face i will give you face lor heheheh

so bro prae: come come, i challenge u to come kl! dont be chicken ok, come meet those guys as per your promise and i will masuk u in the hall of fame of low yat hahhaha.....first to travel far far away land to come see us bros in wm:) bring loads of $$$$ cos we all can take u to all the nice tennis shops:)
*
Hahahah I dunnoif I will spend $$$ on tennis stuff, clothes I cannot buy coz of my size, have to always go through kev, racket, hmmmm I seriously doubt I will switch from k6.1 to something else, however I may play with my old classic rackets again, but coz I don't have multiple rackets of the same model, that may be 'iffy'. I'll see how it goes, I am in the midst of playing with my first racket which I bought with my own money as a student, we are re-united again after sooooo many years, I played my 'best' with this racket when I was in my teens, before I fell in love with the original 85 Wilson Pro Staff, it was a huge shame that I could never compare the 2 together as I broke my frame in anger......I got a huge scolding that day from my mom, and I had to go back using the Prince Pro for a whole year......
Hheheh the racket I am going to be re-united with is the Yonex RX-37 and the RX-32, I really am excited to see how this racket will hold up, if strung with poly or hybrid!!!!

Fella's just a heads up, I just got a pair of Prince T22's........this shoe is seriously comfortable, requires no break in, just wear and play......I cannot believe how comfortable this shoe is, I cannot comment on durability as I just got it. This shoe is worth getting especially if you have tournament and if you have to play multiple matches in a day, your feet will 'Thank You' in the long run.

aiyah prae, u oso got prince's shoes ka?
t22 summor
@kev, bumping up the grip size will be my last option, kekekkek, dowan add weight to an already heavy racket
*
Angel dun like that mah.....I actually just wanna try this shoe for fun one, but dowan to pay big buxs for it.......later banyak rugi x-p.
I am very surprised at the comfort this shoe just oozes out........trust me 'IF' you buy this shoe and HATE it....when I go to KL, I let you throw stones at me , no regret, however I must stress, if you don't like soft shoe, some people like hard and firm shoe's I am abit like that as well, but this was a pleasant surprise, if you have any kaki with Prince T22 shoe, just take and try, by walking around in it....its friggin comfortable, I played 5 yes 5 consecutive doubles match in em start from 14:30 - 18:00 and I was laughing all the way.....my feet were smiling, next day play again.......

Naturally my idea of 'soft' may vary from yours, if you can find a Prince T22 in the shop, you just ask if can 'test' say test now, wait for gaji at the end of the month you come back and buy lah ( if ngam you buy loh, if not ngam , just chow.....)

Bro, is that possible by taking out the damper will make the ball stay longer on stringbed when hitting???
*
Well the only thing I can tell you for sure, is that a dampener only reduces the high frequency vibration hence the 'ping' 'ping' is reduced or nullified, however a dampener does not remove the low frequency vibration so your arm still receives the same amount of 'shock' regardless with a dampener.....

By removing the dampener, it gives the effect that you have more 'dwell' time , coz you have removed the dampener, with a dampener you remove the high frequency vibration and of course the 'feel' of the ball on your racket, without a dampener you have the ping ping and of course the 'feel'. brows.gif

Use lead tape which is easy to do and adjust to your liking.
The other is use silicone which is a bit messy, but you have to know how much you want to add and inject into your handle, must be ngam ngam, once silicone is in, its a real b**** to remove.....may spoil your grip handle as well.

I tried weights, but depending on the hole in your grip at the end of the pallet, especially for Wilson rackets, they don't have a huge whole, but 2 small 5 cent holes.......I think Babolat and Head rackets are easier to fill up, can try using weights, ie fishing weights, I don't like em, so sometimes things get loose, and they start to rattle. I personally use silicone as I measure what I want , weigh it then use a syringe and inject the silicone in..
