Great match even its a goal less draw..

Fantastic performance by our defense..and i can say rafael is as good as bale..i dont care bout his sending off but his performance last night was fantastic especially going up front..he could easily dribble past 3-4 spurs defenders..if only he could make up his mind faster then his legs when it comes to delivering the final ball to our strikers..

But my only concern at the moment is WAYNE ROONEY..

Not having his best game..His first touch is some what heavy..his passing is poor..out of position most of the time..the only plus point is, he had a decent couple of shots on target..

I understand he's out of form and some what frustrating to watch..but he needs to improve it quickly as we cant rely on berba for the goals..

Chicharito might be a better option but knowing how physical the match is, he could be easily out muscle by gallas and dawson..

I now believe rooney strike partner is not berba but valencia..

It was a cracking match. I thought I was gonna die of a heart attack. laugh.gif

Didn't think Rafael should have been sent off and the defense is awesome.

I luv twitter~

and Modric won motm LOL
*
and he deserved it. He totally ruled the midfield.

Just look at the passing stats:-
Modric 64 out of 77 = 83% passes successful
Palacios 37 out of 44 = 84% passes successful
Fletcher 36 out of 45 = 80% passes successful
Carrick 32 out of 39 = 82% passes successful

He's nearly double the other central midfielders.

He ran the midfield, but the back 2 especially Vidic put on a defensive clinic last night, dealt with almost everything they thrown at us, hence they can't score. But it was at white hart lane and becoz they dominated the 2nd half so..............

Definitely Vidic was in the running. Excellent defending all throughout the game. I just felt that if Modric got it, he definitely earned it. Excellent performances from both, really.

Vidic is just awesome .. the way he dealt with Crouch , flying in to block a shot, acrobatic headers ..

i don't know... I think the team played pretty good yesterday.

I think it was a matter of scoring the 1st goal, but because of rafael's red card...

Before the sending off, I thought we made enough decent chances here and there. Not a lot, but considering Spurs defence was on fire like our own, I thought it was okay.

But the last 15-25 minutes, spurs were beginning to look more raggard at the back, that was when I would have expected the team to get on the scoresheet. Unfortunately...

haihs... even our defenders played so well against spurs pacy wingers and creative cntr mid plus 11 vs 10 not even a single press praise our defenders..

if the team that spurs face yest was other team..the press will hail the opponents team gao gao... cry.gif

spurs wingers are the fastest in premier league? if yes then we have passed a big hurdle without much damage

Chill people. like i said, neutrals and non United supporter want us to lose. There's one particular fren whom supported Pool. His tweets last nite are full of hatred and as usual have that holier-than-thou attitude.

IMO, I thought the penalty was soft. I pity Everton. Clearly, without some of their best players, they almosf won it. Cahill, Saha and Pienaar didn't play. Anyway, just ignore those posts, these people can come up with anything.

actually this match was even steven, not in terms of attack but definetly in terms of their attack versus our defending.

if you want a game where were outplayed, its was against sunderland away, add wba to the list also.

when people think of our midfield and see Carrick and Fletcher, the word "star" wont comes into mind. Scholes also nearly past his prime, soon...Anderson while improving, still got lots to learn. So thats why when compared to other team's midfield (For example when u got Chelsea with Lampard and Essien in middle) we dont seem "great". But we never depend on individual stars do we? wink.gif Let that lone poster says what he wants, you can see other posters admit United is a great TEAM (not a great bunch of footballers) as shown by league position and goals scored, goals conceded etc.

Having said that, i also never consider Arsenal to have a bunch of great players whistling.gif . But they showed they can play good football with good teamwork and now maturity, and you can see the results from them now.
