QUOTE(SGSuser @ Jan 17 2011, 02:43 AM) lucky we didnt bought the other botak central defender who is error prone particularly in the game before ours...and to think they compared him to our captain rock-solid when he was bought by them is very laughable now lalala captain was very good tonight but also worrying that he still pull ppl's shirt

QUOTE(bkfeng89 @ Jan 17 2011, 02:42 AM) This. Carrick actually plays a role similar to sergio busquets of barcelona - that is to read and intercept passes from in and around midfield or to wingers. His job is then to do a simple lay-off to fletcher or one of the wingers. His main role was not attacking in the first place. his role of Busquets maybe, to intercept passes, yes. the thing about Carrick is that he is well known to be a bloody brilliant passer back in the days when he first came to United. that's what our mind has set on Carrick. he is a Scholes-style passer. but now seems that he has lost that passing capabilities. Of course his main role was not attacking, but to hold on to the ball and to do simple passes is something that is not seen in Carrick tonight. loses the ball cheaply through ridiculous passes. does not hold on to the ball properly.

This was what i think. Read my post above. I've been on Carrick's side since the beginning. But i do think that his performance is below par recently. Ah, like any other player, just give him some time. There is no reason why he should be hated because of some poor games........ in a season........ in the league...... that we lead. There is no reason why he should be hated because of some poor games........ in a season........ in the league...... that we lead. i was on his side oso woo.itu tok kambing yg x pueh hati.thats why i also said its not form.he still has it, currently its more shifted towards the defensive side of his game.wch is an improvement compared what he was getting stick for.imagine all those slick passes going in where they shouldnt have gone in if it wasnt for his toe, feet and leg intercepting it like the interceptor jets seeking the enemy.. Getting Started

carrick is a good player, nuff said. God would knows what happen if he didn't actually intercept and block so many shots and passes. Then again, he loves giving presents to others.

i never satisfied with a draw. but considering how poor our front 6, a draw just seem fine to me.

fletcher was also giving presents bah, not carrick alone...i wonder what would have been different if we started 4-5-1 rather than 4-4-2

its like the reverse osmosis with him and ando.one is freed from the shackles of anchoring the defensive side duties while the other is stepping a wee bit away from the offensive side of the game.

WHA!? but okay I have to be honest about Carrick. he has good positioning sense. but only technical-wise, he has declined. red arrow going down, not green arrow going up.
