QUOTE(mhyug @ Jan 10 2011, 02:58 PM) its a very fine line btw bragging and arrogant i suppose and no wonder the pool or abu's for that matter cant clearly differentiate it. Unfortunately some sectors of our own supporters also cant differentiate it, not just others. If u go to mamak see all those fans, screaming and kicking chairs much to the disgust of the onlookers, i wouldnt call that bragging or proud of your team at all. So all this accusations work both ways. Most important is be true to ourselves, if we say we are mature and respectable fans with class and dignity, then act like one. |

for some reason i always have the impression that kuszczak isnt as flexible as VDS, so those top corner freekicks/shots that VDS usually save, Kuszczak might not be able to save (West Brom's goal anyone?). Of course, that kinda shot isnt expected to be saved by any keeper at all, but u know VDS would have reached it with his experience, agility, positioning etc. So unluckily for PIG, VDS really did set a very very high standard for any emerging keeper.
But if u are comparing him to the likes of Roy Caroll then he would have been a great keeper. If VDS retires and Lindegaard is still not deemed suitable 1st choice, then Kuszczak can always have the first spot with a relatively less nervous moment (as compared to other backups we have). |

At the end i go for Giggs. presumably every United player give their 100% every game, then Giggs would have given the most of all players

Its quite unfortunate for us to not watch the likes of Best, Charlton, Law etc play during their days, coz i think majority of us are a bit biased to the newer players since we watched them play day in and out while the old legend only hearsay and video highlights. Maybe those old UK fans will have a different say, i dunno. One thing's for sure there's so many legends in United, its so difficult to pick 1 greatest one!

QUOTE(nazanto @ Jan 13 2011, 01:15 AM) Guys. u female, don talk so much and go back to kitchen make some sammich.I was thinking la. i think we all agree that we need a midfielder/winger as that is the position that we've quite lacking with park when to afc and valencia still injured. even though we got few young talent in Bebo and Obertan, i still remain doubt whether we can depend on them come in and put some confident performance. I am not saying they were not good, it just in some matches experienced is vital. So that only leave us Nani and Giggs. But as we know Giggs cant play every 90 minutes. We've got Cleverly in Wigan who doing well there. But we still not sure whether he will be recalled back or not. For me, its better for him to stay there and gain more experience rather than come back here and play few games and when Park and Valencia back his game time might be limited. So because of that i am thinking about this one particular player. He might not world beater and not even a wonderkid. But for me he is a decent Premiere League player who i believe can do a good if not magnificent job for us. the player i am talking about is Niko Kranjčar. Yes that Spurs player. Niko Kranjčar for me a decent player. he comfortable playing in left side or in middle. i believe he can bring some creativity to our side and the most important is he can be good set piece taker! i know nani and giggs can take a freekick but i think Niko Kranjčar is slightly better than both of them. So let say we got him, we can put him either in left wing and nani or the other side. and let say we play giggs on the left side, he can used in middle of park maybe partner fletcher, scholes. So since he is not 1st team starter in Spurs, and they probably got Becks on loan which will make my muppet died, why dont we try to inquire about him? I know that this thing will never happen but i just cant tahan. The muppet in me is too strong!!! Thanks. |

Lets put it this way: in NBA, we have a few teams that have a lot of great players, for example Celtics with Garnett, Pierce, Ray Allen..or San Antonio Spurs with Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, Tim Duncan. But the winner of the MVP for the past 2 years are Lebron James, from Cleveland Cavaliers who arguably only had him as the superstar. The simple fact is, the winner is always someone who is important to that team, he stands out among his teammates. Put Lebron James in Miami Heat now with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh this year, we'll see if he can win MVP or not.
So just because a league has the best player winning an award, doesnt mean it is the best league around. when u got 6 players from Barca and 2 from Real in the world's XI, and they are rightly so given the spot, doesnt mean other teams in the league can fight with them. Just take the recent game, Barca v Real Betis, check out Messi's first goal. For someone his calibre u would expect him to be man marked all the time, by 1 or even 2 players. But NO, he is wide and open to receive a pass on the right before cooly chip it over the keeper. No disrespect to Barca and Real, they are a great team but i dont think the other teams even know who are they playing with. And Blatter's wrong about the Spain National Team consists of Spanish League player. They consists of Barca and Real players to be exact. If he says Barca is the best team around then many would agree. Current Spain team, not including those in EPL, are as follows: 8 Barcelona, 5 Real Madrid, 3 Villareal and 2 Athletic Bilbao. EPL dudes are Reina, Silva, Fabregas and Torres. OK now my rant is over, i am leaving you guys for i am jumping onto the Barca Bandwagon. I'm sure Rijjkad will lead the team to more glory, the likes of Messi and Thierry Henry surely will win the UCL this year! This post has been edited by pyroboy1911: Jan 13 2011, 08:08 PM |

LOL. even Leeds United and Burnley beat us before la, they dont take such pride at doing so. The more you boast about beating United, the more u are acknowledging that Man Utd is a great club
Must be some joke material though. |

QUOTE(Wan @ Jan 14 2011, 04:08 PM) Damn, after what he did last season to us, you should have punched him! Haha at the end of the day, it's the tactics employed by the manager and nothing more. The referee may have biasness as well, like we said all teams have the "for" and "against" moment, and the Rafael incident is one of the "against" moments. It's just like how arsenal complains opponent always kicks them out. Being a defensive midfielder maybe he have mastered the art of fouling players but not getting cards, something in the borderline. It's amazing how he gets away with fouling people. Yet Rafael was carded twice in no time. huhu. Still can't forgive the ref for those decisions, along with Bayern's CBs tactics of kicking Rooney all game long till he got subbed. Gosh, why am I siding him |

From the looks of it, they are gonna progress past to quarter finals..their next opponent is India, thrashed by Australia and Bahrain 4-0 and 5-2 respectively.

QUOTE(DaBestOne @ Jan 15 2011, 07:16 PM) im more concerned with City lost rather than Chelsea. And even if they lose, losing the game to tott tumoro means they are also nearing us, so no matter what the best scenario is to win the Tottenham game. |
