no sir boxsys bro

but a manchester united fan with cordial liking and mutual respect  for liverpool . similar to us , they are a great club with great fans

no other things generate more excitement whenever man utd play liverpool , any season ,anywhere  and anytime . i want liverpool to be up there challenging the top 4 spaces rather than hanging in mid table .

football is and  never the same without liverpool fighting for the league title or UCL.

One would be stupid enough for not respecting Pool for its history and successes. No doubt about that.

To be frank, it is a bit sad looking at their condition now. Fighting hard to get onto the top half of the table. No doubt it is a weird season. But, I would say that they only have themselves to be blamed. I know Benitez won them the champions league but he is not a great manager. Tactical wise, at times it would pay but his man managing skills are poor.

He signed a lot of boo-hoos than excellent ones. Credits to him for signing Torres, Reina and Alonso. I do think that these 3 are quality. But it was also his fault that Alonso went to Real. There were constant rumors of him being replaced by Barry. FYI, as much as multi-purpose Barry is(much like our JOS), I don't really rate him. I do think that Milner is better. Let alone Alonso.

Not only that, he ranted about the owners and not enough transfer kitty given to him. Then again, he was the one whom have been making shitty signings in the first place. They never replace Alonso. And I pity Babel a bit, he was after all, one of the touted youngsters after Huntelaar at Ajax. I don't know what has happened to him. I do think he has the potential to be a world class beater, back then.

Then he came out with FACHTS about our very own manager. As egoistic as Mourinho is, he has never ranted about the old man. Neither did Wenger. As a matter of fact, they respect each other. Of course there were banters flying around but hey, that was all part of the game. But, most of Pool fans(if not all) take Benitez as a cult hero. They claimed that only Benitez has the guts to stand up to Sir Alex.

But I got to hand it to Benitez as well. After his rants, we are not getting much results going our way. But hey, that is all part of the game as well. You got decisions go and against you. Just live with it. And now, this season, at times, I think that Torres does have that disinterested look. You can claim that he is out of form but I just don't think he is the same man as he was before. A different case for our very own Wayne Rooney though. Out of SCORING form yet there is still that 'fire' in his eyes. He still looks passionate. His recent performance, at least, telling me that.

All in all, I do hope they'll keep Torres and get Suarez. This will make this league more interesting. But, it's funny on how some of them can be hypocrites though. Initially, some of them are calling Suarez a cheat and blablabla, and now, most of them are rejoicing on the prospect of Suarez joining them. laugh.gif

It'll be very hard for them. City are up there already looking to break into that group if they are not already. Spurs will hang on.. at top 5. Arsenal will always be in the mix. Chelsea and us are too strong right now to budge for a while. Liverpool need a couple more players to get there. They need good wingers.

Yours are a lot closer than mine. Expected arrival is on Monday(mine).

A bit funny on how they ship these parcels.

I'll ask my brother about his parcel then. Delivered at the same address, not sure whether on the same shipment or not.

I guess ship are much faster voyaging through Panama Canal rather than going to Suez Canal. Let alone the Somalian pirates threat hmm.gif

when things or results are not going the right direction , the blame game will flare up. it took us 26 long years to get things right finally and there's no stopping since. liverpool , with such a rich heritage will get things right eventually but the present predicament suggest it won't be anytime soon . kenny dalglish may cure and fix a few problems short term , but i don't think he would want to stay long as manager . we have ours to ponder and worry about once SAF retires

True that. It'll be a nightmare. But all the new guy have to do is just use what SAF already assembled, and not fcuk up too much. Looking at the ages of our squad, you could see SAF is leaving behind players with lots of potentials who are already experienced themselves. All that new guys have to do is not lose the players we already have, and he'll be all right.

Ajax keeper is United target
Meulensteen reveals Stekelenburg could replace Van der Sar

Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg has emerged as the No.1 target to replace compatriot Edwin van der Sar at Manchester United.

Dutch veteran Van der Sar has confirmed he is retiring at the end of the season and United are expected to bring in a new keeper in the summer.

A string of names have been linked with the Premier League leaders, including Schalke's Manuel Neuer and Atletico Madrid's highly-rated young shot-stopper David De Gea.

However, Van der Sar's fellow Dutchman, and current first choice for the national team, Stekelenburg appears to be the favourite to arrive.

United coach Rene Meulensteen has revealed that Stekelenburg is currently at the top of the club's shopping list and that Ferguson has discussed the 28-year-old with Van der Sar.

"Stekelenburg is indeed the goalkeeper who is at the top of our wanted list," said Meulensteen to Voetbal International.

"We have naturally been talking a lot among ourselves about who should replace Van der Sar.

"Alex Ferguson has spoken about Stekelenburg with Edwin and that does not seem strange to me at all."

Don't think so. They have mentioned him a couple of times. I guess he is being listed in THAT list but I am not sure he is topping it. One of the viable options, I would say.

That's what the backup role means.  biggrin.gif
We're looking far and wide for one this time round. If anything that shows they don't trust Kuszczak for the regular #1 role. After 5 years with us, we would already know the good parts, the bad parts etc. We've made up our mind long ago. It's just a case of whether Lindegaard have what it takes, or we identify top 3-5, and try to get one of them on our terms.

Added on January 29, 2011, 10:34 amIn March, Drogba will be 33 and Anelka will be 32. With the UEFA Financial Fair Play Plan kicking into action soon, this is the time Roman can use his cash. After that FFP kicks in, he won't be able to fund transfers anymore.

Added on January 29, 2011, 10:34 am laugh.gif Good one.

well if you put it that way, it means we dont trust anyone in the squad since every one practically has to fight for a place with some one.same goes to lindergaard if you ask me.he isnt knocking every one dead either, means he is also in same corner as tom, but at least with tom we know what he can do and guide him to improve.

either this position isnt consolidated in a year, 2 or 5 as youve said.besides vds isnt someone easily to be disposed by any gk in this world. so i think that deserves tom some handicaps not a "back up" tag.for me he might be the one, and for you he isnt, we both shall see whats in store in the gk dept come next season.also we dont buy players just bcoz they can be "an able back up".its because they can come in and give selection head aches to the gaffer and challenge for places.were not just any club.under study yes, but never "the backup". wink.gif

Maybe 2 years ago or even last year, but right now, with Berba blazing hot,Hernandez hot on rooneys heels and Rooney getting back to fitness, too much headache over team selection and keeping all of them happy biggrin.gif

Besides,Torres seems to be in a worse condition than rooney...
