Not surprised the cry babies thinks the world is against them. biggrin.gif
SAF was likely asked about Adams since we just played against them where he did well in the first half spraying balls all over the field not to mention his set piece delivery was top notch. What was SAF suppose to say that time? Oh, I don't want to upset those children that supports Liverpool so I won't comment ever about Adams.

Boo hoo.

So, no Evra, Edwin and Rafael as expected.

Lindegaard might start. Carrick might play a part.

On signing another goalkeeper in the summer: SAF - "We're okay at the moment, we're fine."
I wish they would just come out and say whether they think Lindegaard is the one or he's just a backup. Or that he's on trial for 5 months, if impress, he will get it.. or maybe only in the future they will consider him while we brought in an experience guy to take over from VDS for a couple of seasons.

no chance they or anyone can say that.you said yourself when it comes to players.never know how they will turn up.

besides rarely weve discussed our transfer plans so openly.past few seasons its all done stealthy when they signed on the dotted line is when the press and every one knows about it.gone are the days when were confirming interest on a player.

I know that. It's just that I can't help but think about it over and over.
It seems like we're far better prepared this time. Let's hope for the best. My wish is that Lindegaard will prove to be the one, but if not, I hope it will be for someone who has already done it at the top level. Won't mind another VDS who's old but can still give 5-10 years or service.

United plan keeper swoop

QUOTE
Manchester United will move into the transfer market in the summer to replace goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar.

The veteran Dutchman confirmed on Thursday that he would be hanging up his gloves at the end of the season.

Van der Sar's decision to call time on his illustrious career leaves Sir Alex Ferguson with a significant gap to fill in his starting XI.

The Old Trafford outfit have Tomasz Kuszczak and recent signing Anders Lindegaard waiting in reserve, but do not appear to have enough faith in either player for them to immediately become the new No.1.

Best targets

Goalkeeping coach Eric Steele revealed that the Red Devils have a trio of players in their sights who they believe would slot in seamlessly and provide the essential last line of defence.

Steele said: "We could do it internally, but we have looked at the best targets and we have a nice one, two and three who we think can fill the job."

Germany international Manuel Neuer and Van der Sar's fellow countryman Maarten Stekelenburg have been touted as possible signings, along with Atletico Madrid youngster David de Gea.

Speculation suggested Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina could be a shock target for their Premier League rivals, while Juventus' Italy international shot-stopper Gianluigi Buffon is another to have been linked with United.

I never claim Gibson is first team material. At best I could see him being a useful squad player, but never good enough to be a regular. tongue.gif

Tommy was good when he plays 1 to 2 games continuously but i don't think his performance is consistent if he plays regularly. This will hurt most United fan but put him in teams like West Ham or Everton regularly, he will be a great goalkeeper for those team.

disagree there.he saved our asses quite often when the defense should be on the job.i dont know why he gets the 100% blame.anyway with vds retiring the chance is the for a gk who knows the club in and out and for a gk who is quite unknown and what he can/cant do.

Er, actually, I never blamed him, in fact i never blamed any United players whenever we were fucked up. Kalau rajin, check all my previous posts tongue.gif Yup he saves our asses a few times of course if he did not, he will be the first player that i blame on laugh.gif, but that only proves that he did his job as a goalkeeper. If he plays for us regularly, he needs to do more than just 'saves our asses'. Mmm perhaps he himself should convince people like me, Wan and SAF (?) is one of them?

Adui,Ollie dah emo. The FA is a joke and the 'weakened team' rule has to be the dumbest rule ever created. The idea is there but just how the hell do you define a 'weakened team'??

That view is so subjective and to top that, they include the 25 man rule.
Leave it to the fat cats in suits to ruin things.

owh God please no gibson tomorrow!! he's just not up to EPL standard (let alone Man Utd). i wonder what happen to him..2 seasons ago he was tipped to be a good goal-scoring midfielder for us, but his progress has been truly awful. still cant properly pass, lack of creativity, lack of pace, always caught off-position, ball watching, cant tackle, etc. (to those who disagree, please watch him CLOSELY everytime he plays)

he's just like a cow with a tremendous shooting power. haih..maybe he's never be good enough for us. (dont get me wrong, i do hope he will improve like ando's recent good form)

what happen to cleverly? will he come back or the loan is extended till end of the season?
