The only accessories I bought for my girlfriend's XZ-1 is a new strap (Crumpler's Popular Disgrace) and a new waterproof case (Manfrotto Mini III).

If only the grip is the type that can be taken out and placed back frequently. My XZ-1 is going underwater so that thing will create a gap when inserted into my underwater housing I believe.

Played with Xz-1 yesterday, love the grip, a lot better than RX100.. RX100 felt like it's going to fall anytime..

Easier to learn layout menu, at least closer to my current LX3..

Image seems good, judging from camera LCD

Dun have the underwater case so dunno... does this help? The grip isn't very thick.

Was chatting with another forumer via PM just now regarding this topic.

In terms of specs, RX100 is better in every aspect. Video is hands down better with the RX100.

But there's something very special about the XZ-1 and the image it renders... to me at least

although glossy, i find the white body gives better grip compared to the matte black one.. never had a problem with mine.

people can pixel peep and compare noise performance and dynamic range highlight shadow recovery etc etc all day long.

in the end it's how the camera capture the scene and how the outcome appeals to you. biggrin.gif

you mean Xz-1 with white body?

I used to hate Sony's colour for my own reason, not sure how they are doing now...
