i thought u are using z680? get a brand new z5500 lol...not worth to risk to get 2nd hand since the price aint too bad. u need to consider the life spand on 2nd unit & warranty issue what if the previous owner blast too much already? sweat.gif

Hi all, just have to comment on my z680 RMA incident with MCL recently. I bought my z680 on early December 2005 and found that my front left speaker has more bass output than it suppose to be (or not suppose to be? hmmm) and minor but obvious cosmetic defect. cry.gif Went back to MyPC within the week for a swap request but they don't entertain, claiming no stock left. They advise me to bring it to MCL for warranty claim instead. Fine vmad.gif . Send it in to MCL but can't get an immediate swap as they need to conduct further testing on my said defect cry.gif . After much ding-donging for almost 2 months shakehead.gif and promises of a replacement unit, I kinda reaffirm my poor faith on Malaysian after sales and RMA services and decided to let it be and bought another z680 instead 2 weeks ago. Works flawlessly.

MCL finally decided to replace my faulty z680 yesterday with a brand new spanking z5500 instead to make up for the mess caused, at no extra charge. shocking.gif shocking.gif I was speechless. I have to say this is a rare moment in my many past RMA experience of what I call exceptional customer service thumbup.gif Kudos to MCL's Jeremy for his timely followups and Logitech for making me a believer. notworthy.gif thumbup.gif wub.gif

Great, now what to do with my z680 blink.gif

I agree that Megaworks THX 550 is anytime better than the Z-680 cos i compared my Megaworks with my friend's Z-680. Unfortunately, my Megaworks kong after 1 year of usage. Anyway, i just bought a set of Gigaworks S-750 and i'm loving it. Megaworks and Gigaworks differs in terms of tweeters. Mega doesn't come with tweeters where else Giga has titanium tweeters. Thats the difference between these two speakers and most of all, the Gigaworks has better response effect compared to the Megaworks as i've experienced it myself.

Initially, yes.... I tested 7.1 as well just to make sure that every satellites are working appropriately. Well, those 2 extra satellites are just kept in the box as spares.
