hope this help, as digital out has either optical or coaxial. check the plug properly before buying any cable. like my mobo comes with coaxial & optical output.

make sure the impedence matches and sit should be ok if not u r gonna damage the amp in the sub by overdriving it.

another question if i am to buy a denon avr can i used back my logitech sat speaker (Without the sub off course) ???? as bit short of cash and temp wanted to buy denon AVR...

Hey guys, just got myself an Asus Xonar DS (PCI) sound card. Will install and hook it up to the z5500's after dinner. Any windows/speakers settings I should tweak ? What should the audio rate in the Speaker-->Advanced tab be ? Oh yeah, connection to the z5500's will be via analog 6 channel. I'm already using the optical-in for my PS3.

try this setting : Tools > Preferences > Audio > Output : Type > Win32 waveOut extension output

and it works for me

depends on your purpose if u are like a movie and music person like me get D2X if just for gaming and music DX is enough

dont know about ac3filter thou, i have ac3filter installed on pc.. but im not setting anything on ac3filter.

its like.. the CMSS 3D... i put it on Xpand.. the vocals only come out from the middle speaker.... my z5500 sets to fully surround setting.... after that i puit the setting to Surround.. the vocals comes from behind...

Damn, the fuse for my Logitech Z5500 blew again.

This is the second time in one year.

Luckily, these fuse are cheap, I bought a few extra just in case.

try to off CMSS 3D..

anyway the voice always come out on the center speaker and the music will go surround.. correct me if im wrong

turn off the CMSS 3D, it makes music sounds bad..
at ur Z5500, set it to Stereo X2 or stereo
dolby digital prologic music or movie mood is not so suitable for music..

u'll should be able to get clean, clear music
