How much space you can accomodate? With that budget, you'll only have the option for either a low-tech 1ft or 2ft tank with plants like ferns, moss, marsilea or sagitaria subulata.

For a complete beginner, best you go for a 2ft. It's easier.

fuhh..24 hours ? how bout ur light ? its kinda wasted right to turn on co2 at night without on ur light .. no photosynthesis going on that time oo

Lights on from 9 to 9, 12 hours... tongue.gif So there will be high Co2 concentration once the lights are on. But also cause solenoid is expensive and I have to adjust my manual regulator with a plier cause the knob is broken. So lazy on and off manually. tongue.gif

Why did you place it before the Canister? that will definitely cause some filter air locks,

Place it after the motorhead..

I tried that, but if I placed it after the motor head, I don't get my pearlings and I think I need to up it to at least 2-3bps for the same effect.

If before the motor head, I get pearlings and a whole tank of oxygen bubbles at only 0.25bps.

but even so I'm now considering to change it to after the motor head, because the sound of the air locks is freaking me out...

Might do the change tonight actually...

Since you've rear fish before, why don't you list down the gears you have and we'll tell you which one can be reused and which need to buy new.

The plant die cause no fertilizer...

hi all sifu , can I start this hobby with budget rm200 ? need suggestion and opinion =) i am new in these things

Tough one i would say if you want a decent planted tank unless you go for all 2nd hand item. Even all 2nd hand, I am not sure if it is feasible..try to ask if you got friends that are willing to let go item to you cheap or FOC.

couples way to reduce/eliminate the oil film... surface skimmer, use air pump at night (when light off), set the filter outlet above water level to create disturbance on water surface...and some said put molly fish..
