Hmm.... it's interesting to have plants in an Arowana tank.
Hope u can get bigger tank such 5ft X 2ft X 2ft, and put plants also
ur plants turn a bit yellowish because u're using sands & less CO2, perhaps it is ur light problems...

I don't think co2 is prob because the plant he put is easily grow.
Should be your light and sand.
Try put Ada soil around the plant and focus your light to them

I do used Co2 with 2 bps night and day (manually with no solenoid)..moreover all my plants are low light plants..
lighting are with Hagen 3 x 39w Life-Glo and 1 x 39w Power-Glo with 10hr - 12hr daily..
weekly dosing of Brighty-K..Shade and Step 2..tried dosing once every 3 - 4 days resulting in more algae boom..

the ratio is 1 part gravel 1.5 part ADA soil..
the reason why I mix them is that soil tend to "brake" down after some time..as when we do wc it tend to get "milky"..
a sifu in Singapore teach me this as he also breed aro with plants (6ft x 3ft x 2.5ft)..with all kinds of Fern..Nana and Marcelia..6 aro and 50 sae and otto..
what fascinated is his aro all eat fish pallet..(NO KILLING as he said)

Hehehe... my tank is very simple one (3ft X 1.5ft X 1.5ft) bought about a year ago...
4 months ago, i used to put other plants (not java moss & java fern)
But the plants died within few months (perhaps 2 months)

Please refer to this link:
http://www.facebook.com/media/set/fbx/?set...&type=1&theater

I stopped for a month & put the new plants as what i have now, my java moss (some of it) turn brown before i putting CO2 tablets.
Since i am new with planted tank, (i actually don't know how to tie the moss on the rocks & wood) i'm putting my moss under my driftwood & rocks.
Water temperature is very high, average 29 degree celcius, pH unknown cause i never test my water
I do WC once every 2 or 3 weeks, and change my filter wool once a month.

Yes, i know the plants i put in my tank is low maintenance... but i just want to keep them longer (not only for few months), therefore i try to put CO2 tablets for my tank

Don't worry, i won't put glosso as i know my water condition is not suitable for this kind of plants as it's too hot.
