im using the modded version by motafoca now.. looks good so far.. one thing i noticed is his change with the cpu governor really helps a lot,
in the official leaked froyo, i noticed after 1 day of usage, phone idle ate a lot of battery power.. more than 40% and compared to eclair, like JK3 build this was not the case.. phone idle battery usage was a lot lower.. and this could be explained by the cpu pushed to the max 600Mhz all the time because the ondemand governor was disabled by samsung for some reason.. for 6 hrs so far. phone idle is just 12%... hehehehe.. good job motafoca a.k.a mr coggan

and that is especially with 3g on

wah. i'll definitely try the stable release. btw, is it enclair or froyo? i'm happy we have some hardcore G5 users here at Malaysia, especially at LYN. Thanks!

actually we do have hardcore users here,, we r just lacking of people who are well-versed in both linux and android programming to do the job..

Hi hello... I'm a new user of Samsung G5 (bought the phone before christmas 2010)

my problem is downloading apps from market..

at first i have no problem dowloading from wifi and through 3g (i'm a digi dataplan user)

after few weeks, it started having problem like "download paused" so i surfed around and found out that this problem is quite normal (foreign forum). market is the problem, not our phone they said.

so anyway I did what the best solution of the problem which was to clear cache in market apps. after I "clear cache" my phone had no problem downloading apps using 3G but cannot wifi. now it seems that download paused in both connection.

i havent go through this forum yet, if there had been any thread about this problem, kindly link it to me please?

thank you so much...

im forgot about 2.1 application interface, but i think its about the same as 2.2.

open setting>application>manage application, select market then market details will come out.. clear data then uninstall update.

im not so sure if it correct way to open market detail..

if you happen to have advanced task killer try this..
-open market then press home button
-open advance task killer, long press on market. choose detail.
-clear cache, uninstall updates.

Where is motafoca from? If this mod is good, I'm sure many will flash to it.
But thx to motafoca and to the testers for keeping us updated thumbup.gif rclxms.gif
