Please..and please someone upload the modded version by motafoca at 4shared.

I'm using celcom bb at home and its damn slow. And I cant install dropbox at the office. I'm really eager to try out the modded version.

So please..pretty please.

And kudos to Motafoca...thank you very much for your effort making our G5 a great phone.
Hope you can succeed in making it multitouch also.

im using the modded version by motafoca now.. looks good so far.. one thing i noticed is his change with the cpu governor really helps a lot,
in the official leaked froyo, i noticed after 1 day of usage, phone idle ate a lot of battery power.. more than 40% and compared to eclair, like JK3 build this was not the case.. phone idle battery usage was a lot lower.. and this could be explained by the cpu pushed to the max 600Mhz all the time because the ondemand governor was disabled by samsung for some reason.. for 6 hrs so far. phone idle is just 12%... hehehehe.. good job motafoca a.k.a mr coggan

and that is especially with 3g on
actually we do have hardcore users here,, we r just lacking of people who are well-versed in both linux and android programming to do the job..

so far so good with the stable version? drool.gif

Added on January 12, 2011, 6:33 pmactually im quite disappointed with froyo's battery consumption...the system there the phone unplugged for 4 hours...
cell standby 63%, phone idle 12%...lolx....so sad...

Hey. back from zzzzzzzzz mode
How is it holding so far?
Guys i have decide to put on hold the kernel and filesystem modifications, without my cellphone its hard to debug whats going wrong. Maybe i can release another version for testing, but for now i think the best way is to improve the samsung build
Im glad the battery is now working the way it should so now its time to really customize!

Since i have access to the system, i can add and remove programs, edit configurations and stuff like that, i would like to create some kind of wish list from everyone so i can put in the build
You can ask for anything even something farr away that can only be done with cyanogen
After the request type a simple reason
The best way i see is to everytime you add to the wish list, you copy the previous one

Example, i right multitouch, the next person rights multitouch and ext2 filessytem, and so on
so here is my part:

1- Change and remove touchwiz launcher to Zeam launcher - touchwiz is crap
2- Multi-touch - multitouch owns
3- Gingerbread - ginger owns
4- Change and remove samsungs rfs filesystem - rfs is crap
5- Remove layar - layar is crap
6- Remove smokewallpaper - doesnt work

See you all in a bit smile.gif

Welcome, there's a lot of info on G5 here. Give it a read and you know it'll worth it (your reading and the G5 brows.gif ).

Never touch irc before..
forum seem like a great idea!

1. Enable unique android_id on G5 device.
3. Enable G5 to see all protected apps on market.
2. Zeam totally OWN!
3. Android 2.4 (ice cream) - nay, that too far i think tongue.gif

am i write it right? tell me if wrong.. brows.gif

Ok, we use the forum for updates
But for developers IRC has to be used, its easier multiplatform and i like it smile.gif
To use ir, you have 2 ways.
1- Install a irc client and connecto to freenode under channel #gti5500
2- Enter via webchat, same channel #gti500 (http://webchat.freenode.net/)
Im in there already wink.gif
