Ranked 6th in the league now with 7 wins, 6 draws and 3 losses and managed to get into D1 Cup semi-final. Raul is da top scorer in da league now. S. Gerrard is the key player in attacking after Zidane had left. His passing and long powerful shots always come in the right time. Even struck a goal from 32m away with free kick. Sergio Ramos is the man when it come to defending. I didnt noticed he's tat good when I rested I. Helguera due to fatigue. He played quite well in observing opponent penetration and intercept it *he's good at this position, but when I swapped he with J. Woodgate position, he's ain't tat good... funny... after all, both also CB position *

I play PE55 demo. i think it as same as WE9. really easy to control the ball, hard to through pass, i'm ok with that coz still can find opportunity to pass; but referee so strict even my player position at the same line as the opponent defender still he whistle offside, i hate that! LOL
btw i like the "improvement that PE55" when player got injuries.

Hmmm. I'm using Real in my ML too. Right now in 2nd season. Still got Owen there, since if I was the Manager I'd never let him go. Beckham is a bollocks player and together with Raul and Woodgate are on my transfer list. Plan to use the ref funds for Raul to lure Adriano over to Real.

Schwarz is my great find in this game. Only 19 years old, big build and powerful left foot. Good in the air,and has freekick abilities. Although still very raw and his control and speed is very poor right now, should develop well in the next few seasons. If you play to his strengths, can be a good target man.

Hosin Kaebi is my main Sideback since WE8I. Never fails me. Althouhg stamina is a bit bad and smal size, he's got speed and good passing. Also has good psoitioning sense if you use him offensively. Should develop well.

Owen is good but has got a useless left foot. Raul dissapointing as always for me. Ronaldo, still good, but gets injured often. Zidane the master, can't last a match.

Depending on the opponent, if they play an open game, I 'll use the more skilled palyers. If they are tough defensively, i'll play more direct and have more muscle in the lineup e.g sometime use ppl like J.Baptista as CF since he's stronger.

Looking to bring in some youth in next transfer window.
Cover for CMF and CB as well as a young GK like K.Schemichel or Lewis.
For DF Pique or Orlandi would be great cover for R.Carlos.

Yeah, couldn't deny that the refereeing very strict already and often happen more fouls.. Sometime silly fouls happen too .. and the GK getting better, difficult to 1 on 1 now ... as I mentioned earlier, now it's like watching NBA for me... always foul within short period of play

Hehe.. in my patched version of WE9 *I did it myself *, already got some latest transfers and Owen already went to Newcastle. He's good... fast... but sometime lack of accuracy. Anyway, what version that u r playing? In WE9, I can feel Raul is much better than the WE8I or WE8LE Raul. In the other way, I feel Ronaldo is lacking ... That's why Raul and Dijbril Cisse in my starting lineup ... different para perhaps

Beckham in the other way, he's ok for me. After all, everytime he's overrated . I switched him to play as RMF rather than being CMF. *give ur way to Great Steven Gerrard *. J. Woodgate? Still ok lar... better than Pavon, but I miss W. Samuel.

R. Carlos and M. Saldago are getting old... I need to find substitute for them as soon as possible. Raul Bravo just so-so only. So far, Cristiano Ronaldo haven't show me that I paid the right value for him. Anyway, only played 2 games after the transfer . Will hunt for defenders and more young players in the next transfer. Haven't check out yet...

WE9-PS2 with Fernando V4 patched.

Owen, yeah lacks accuracy, but in We9 he actually still improves (better growth). In WE8LE he stopped after 1-2 seasons. I'm in 2nd season now and Owens' getting sharper. As you said, Raul is much better this time round too.

Beckham i place him as CMF but plays a bit on the right (in place of KAebi).

This becoz in WE9 the chipped thru ball is dependant on skill, and Beckham in the middle allows him to spread the play better. Also scripting wise, putting your players role as CMF allows them to cover a wider range.

No cash for any big name transfers yet, probably at the end of this season. Carlos and Salgado on my blacklist already, and were going to have 'THE GREAT MADRID SALE' at the end season transfer window.

As for replacements, try Orlandi/Pique at LB and Cicinho at RB. Christian Chivu also great at LB, but he's old at 24-25. I miss W.Samuel too. What were Real ever thinking when they sold him. YOu know, they only got rid of him, so that they accomodate J.Bapista/Robinho (only 3 Non-EU players in La-Liga) Since Carlos is already Spanish PR.

Yeah got my eye on Gerard too.

Coming to the end of 2nd season of ML with Real.

Going into the final run I was 5 pts clear on top of the table from Barca. Played Barca in probably what was the 'title decider'.

Took and early lead with Schwarz turning home a loose ball after, Ronaldo's piledriver from the left was blocked. Got lazy, lost concentration, and let Barca back into the game when Guily scored easily, because Kompany kept backing off and not closing him down.

2nd half went forward more and took the lead again, thru a Ronaldo glancing header from a Carlos corner. However the game swung against me afterward.

Barca pushed forward with Ronaldinho, Eto and Guily tormenting my CB's constantly. They were switching play at will and I was finding it hard to cope with the movement. Barca scored 2 quick goals not long after, both 1st time volleys by Guily/Eto from Ronaldino crosses.

Score 2-3, Barca leading. Pride at stake, championship at stake. Brought on Robinho for Zidane. Replaced Kaebi with Beckham. Pushed forward more looking for an equalizer and left gaps at the back. On counter attack, Deco stole thru off a long ball from Xavi in midfield to put the game out of my reach in the last 5 mins.

Final Score Real 2 Barca 4.Barca had now closed the gap to 2 pts.

Next match played Ath. Bilbao. Was improtant to get a result to keep some distance. Some players no performing players against Barca dropped.

Took the lead again just before halftime, with Robinho curling a sidefoot shot from acute angle after being put thru by Zidane.

Was having most of the posession and the game was quite open.

Ronaldo/Robinho/Zidane blasting over/wide when having clear shots time and time again. Headers saved, easy shots coming of the post. Roaldo beat the keeper when 1v1 and then hit the side net with the goalmout gaping. Then it all came unglued.

Bilbao scored a shock equalizer from a corner with 5 mins remaining.
Again defence loss concentration and did not close down the CF arriving late at far post.

Desparately pushed forward but ran out of time to get an equalizer.

Really should have sewn this game up as Real dominated thruought but forwards seemed to have left their scoring boots at home.

Final Score 1-1

Barca in turn, had won their game and now tied with Real on 66pts. Real lie 2nd because of Barca's superior Goals Scored.

Have a feeling that the title has been lost already. There's just 4 matches to go, and REAL need to WIN ALL and hope Barca lose.

Next Fixture Div1 Cup final gainst Barca again.

Massive revamp. Changed the formation to counter Barca's.

Moved Robinho to LWF. Ronaldo as CF. Put Schwarz as ST with Beckham re-instated to a right sided CMF role. Gravesen back in as DMF.

Div1 Final new formation worked. Deeper defence contered Barca's 3 forward's of Ronaldinho, Eto And Guily. Scored 4 goals with Robinho netting 2, Schwarz 1 and Raul late in the game when coming on for Schwarz.

Sweet revenge..Sweet revenge.

Should pick up the spirits a bit, and concentrate on getting max points in the remaining League fixtures and hopefully Barca will drop a point somewhere.

Planning a big clearout at the end of the season to capitalize on getting something for the soon to be ex-galacticos.Zidane, Carlos, Becks, Raul, and Ronaldo are all on the way out.

Zidane may retire any time, so best sell him off. Ronaldos stats are dropping. Becks has been largely ineffective with my style of play. Raul doesn't score enough,and Carlos doesnt justify his high salary. So all are welcome to "THE GREAT MADRID SALE".

Should be able to net a cool 80-90K with the sale of this generation. Should pave the way for bringing in Gerard, Kaka and Adriano and other good players. Also let Schwarz get more games as he's improving tremendously. Might get Baumjohann as well, but comparitiively Schwarz is better.

Now I'm playing WE9 patched with Hawkes kits + Maximo Chants + FIFA Commentary + Wemerica v3.0 Final and Wemerica v3.0 Option File Special

Plain Wemerica driving me mad with the chants as it's too lousy and I dun really like PES4 commentary *feeling regret doing it, but after all... I dunno I was patching the commentary at 1st *... then FIFA Commentary and Maximo Chants save my day from getting bored with WE9

From all forwards that I have: Raul, Ronaldo, Dijbril Cisse, Robinho, Thompson *acquired by trading offer to me*; Raul partnering Dijbril Cisse the best for me. Raul can play well as forward and 'backing' + 'passing' some nice balls to Dijbril Cisse to do the finishing. Raul more like a 'support forward' to me but hey, he scored quite a number of magnificent goals . Too bad Raul didnt managed a break thru for me before as his speed and acceleration really not that great. Cisse, in the other side playing quite well for me especially his strong, powerful and massive shots *I didnt believe it, frankly... I didnt believe it*... all his shots were fast, powerful and accurate. Ronaldo can't do that for me, he just can't... I tried very best to make Ronaldo in the first selection as he was before, but he couldn't score and normally when I substitued him with Cisse to play 30> minutes... Cisse scored *in certain matches, critical goals for me*

Yupz, rather than playing as OMF and DMF, I rather play 2 CMF as they will attack and defense, covering wider range for me. At the moment, no one playing that position better than my selection of S. Gerrard and T. Gravesen . Looking forward to dump Baptista and Guti for other players. As back-up and substitute, I got I. Helguera to cover for me *although only T. Gravesen position*, else I'll bring Beckham down to S. Gerrard place when he's resting and play C. Ronaldo on the right and Park Si Jung will be on the left. So actually it's quite important to get player with many roles as they can just slot in anytime .

But I didnt have any problem with Barca, all the time I'll be trashing them . Meet 3 times in Div. 1 cup (H/A) and the league. They normally start with 2 forwards and then only play 3 forwards in the 2nd half when they couldn't get the net. Once switched to 3 forwards, they'll have problem defending in their half .. more shots coming after their GK.

I couldn't remember which teams, but playing against Liverpool and Arsenal just damm hard for me especially Arsenal. They just keep on pressure on the ball and I couldn't pass it around nicely... but thankx I drew with them . I only getting 2 Shot On Goal in the match against Arsenal and they're like 9 ~ 10 .. I hardly get the ball playing beyond my 2nd half.. perhaps it's my formation didnt match to counter their formation.. after all, blame me for my laziness to change

*note that S. Gerrard not in the game against Arsenal as he's too fatigue and Raul been called up for national duty. Ended up Cisse starting with Ronaldo and then Robinho as substitute.. *

Hello guys I got one question about scoring from corner kicks .. is it possible to score from corner kicks ? ..

i can score wit corner kicks
but not often la
sometimes only
u need a good player to take the corner kicks also
if u just use random player...the ball wont go nicely

usually i will cross the ball at head level
not so high nor so low
i target the ball to the nearest player at the goal post
i dont pick player at the back

if u try to pass to far post it will need a bit of luck for opponent defender missheading the ball. but if u scores that goal sure coolZ
like ~bug~ said if u got a player near post just pass the ball to him, the possibilities to score is high.

Only scored direct from CK once. That was in WE8:LE. When I try , sometimes can come close. I usually use O+R2 and with Beckham. Have not tried it in WE9 yet.

But for normal CK's, I can score quite often. But to all those who want tips, let me say there are NO sure ways to score. It's all comes down to knowing the controls well. Both in terms of executing the various types of corners (ie. High, low, medium, pacey, lofty,short corner) and practice finishing, getting your timing of when to press SQUARE right.

Every corner kick is different as your players line up differently each time. Mix it up with near, mid and far post corners. Sometimes taking a short corner, and whipping it in from a slightly different angle is all it tkaes to wrongfoot the defence.

Also knowing what direction presses give you what kind of shot. If you're near 6yrd box, better get downward headers, as anything else is more likely to go over.

Outswinging to top of the box and fininshing with a volley are also possible, but very dependent on 'shooter' stats.

In WE/PES the worlds you oyster, and how you socre, is really dependant on how creative you are, and how good a 'footballing' brain you have.

Oh yeah, to add, agressive use of R2 and/or super cancel is quite helpful if you want to increase your conversion rate.

Well, 2nd season of ML is now over.

Real gave their all with 4 wins out of 4 on the final stretch. 2-0, 3-1, 4-0, 5-0. HIgh scoring to improve the goal differece. Hoping that Barca would drop a point somewhere. But never happened; Barca presevered and had finished the last match with a narrow 1-0 win against Valencia. Overall they did just enough to clinch the title.

Real has to settle for 2nd place. Can't fault the lads though, they gave it their all in the last few matches. Its just that 1 game (against Bilbao) immediatly after defeat to Barca, that turned the season. If we had taken 3pts there Real would be champs. Anyway, its now time to look on to the next season of with onset of CL football.

As palnned by the mangaer, the end season "GREAT MADRID SALE' was underway. Hoping to clear out some non-performing Galacticos.

Kept getting rejected by Adriano, he's just not interested in coming here. Raul played very well in the last 3 matches getting 4 goals. But in the end he was off to Milan in long planned swap deal for Kaka.

Zidane was off to Ajax for Wesly Sneidjer. Aslo got Romanian Christian Chivu from an Italian club I think.

No takers for other Galacticos as well. Got Baumjohann from Shalke04. Exchanged Guti. Baumy only as a backup for Schwarz who has blossomed into a great target man at the yong age of 18. Forsee only great things for him.

Team played well in friendlies almost every week of the off-season. Not too happy with Robinho's contribution as he's too lighweight to compete when going against tougher teams. Baumjohhan got 4 goals, with Schwarz top scoring with 7 goals. Believe it 7 goals and loads of assists. Overall scored about 20 goals in the friendlies. Highest score was a 6-0 demolition of Portsmouth.

Most younsters developing well. Ronaldo manages to arrest his slide in form, with some good work in off season training.

New formation to accommodate some new players;

First match of new season. Against Real Sociedad. Struggled to find footing. With new players and changes roles. Going behind to 2 goals in 1st half. Both again due to defences not covering well.

Anyhow stuck with it and got and back a goal from Owen in the 2nd half. Ran on dianoally across the box to poke in a thru pass from Becks.

Moved Kaka into an more advanced role on the left side of midfield. Had very few chances as Real Sociadads defence was marking very tight.

Last minute, Kaka put thru by Beckham. Instead of going on, as he would have been closed down , he cut back and out off to side the box. Thought the chance had gone. But Kaka turened his marker and manged to get an superb inswinging cross to the far post which Ronaldo just manged to get a head to. Difficult header as he was marked and made contact while backing away. Ball just made in in past the foot of the far post. Crowed and palyers erupted in a frenzy, with everyone joining in to congratulate Ronaldo. 2-2; Real have drawn level.

Had another chance with Baumjohann boke free on the right in the closing seconds, but keeper manages to save. Corner was uneventful.

Kudos to the boys for showing great determination and fighting spirit.

Also glad to see that the off-season training has paid of. Schwarz is now more confident player, and has developed a vicious left foot. His strength and balance means he'll rarely gets pushed off the ball. And he's great in the air at 1.90m with good header and jump stats. His lack of pace, passing and dibbling ability will be worked on by the coaches in next season. He's still young and the mangers predict even greater things for hime next year.

As for the League, its early days yet, but Real happy with the point for now.

Now I'm in nearly the end of the season with 5 more matches to go... the Div. 1 Cup Final against Manchester United and also 4 league matches left with big name Arsenal and Liverpool in them.

Now ranked 4th in da league with a huge different points gap from the top spot. Even 3rd rank is 5 points and 2nd rank is 7 points above me. Pretty bad season with a lot of draws and 5 lost. However, managed to make it into the Div. 1 Cup Final and will against Manchester United, a final chance for a silverware this season.

In the league, I lost once *if not mistaken, else draw* and won once against Man U, the current league leader. They're playing 1 CF and 2 WGs against me. Crowded the midfields in the middle and I'm forced to do side attacks. Their players keep on pressuring on the ball. Once my player got the ball, 2~3 players will close down and gotta back dribble or find a way to pass. I remember I had a bad time with them *coz I seldom play, couldn't remember much *, but managed to play a 1-0 win against them in 2nd meeting in league game. Raul managed to intercept a loose back pass and then Van Der Sar was out from da penalty box.. too bad I can't see him earlier else I would had scored from nearly half field , somehow then run forward with the ball and saw Van Der Sar running back toward his goal, then Raul hit the low post with a powerful low drive .

The 5th lost of the season was against the 2nd spot in league, Chelsea, 2-0. Dammit, I just couldn't fully maximize the position and performance of Steven Gerrard. Gotta change my formation from time to time to find the best one. Although there's no solid one best formation against all teams, but I'm just looking for the common starting one . Barca, which ranked 3rd in the league in the other way get thrashed all the time when meeting Real . For all 4 meetings in this season *Div. 1 Cup Quater-Final*, Barca lost 2 goals and above each time. The latest meeting pretty bad to them, a midfielder red-carded after 8 minutes of playing for sliding from behind and then Beckham hit the net from free kick. Later in the game, Raul was brought down in the box and then he hit the net from the spot.

Will be looking forward to give all out against Man U for the Div. 1 Cup trophy and then the 2 league matches against Arsenal and Liverpool. Although they're ranked below Real in the league, somehow they're still good teams to play against with.
