I've said it before, in this and forums. You need to 'forget' how you used to play before. Re-learn the new game mechanics and re-apply them to your style of play. I think certain people who've 'mastered' certain moves are the ones finding trouble with this version. All your money plays don't work now is it ?

i think WE9 sucks .. when playing with my frend.. we cant drible.. cant pass correct.. tru pass like hay wire... ..
Now, you can dribble in WE9. Sometimes its better than WE8, sometimes it's not. This is mainly caused by the auto-sidestep feature. After you un-learn your 'lubok' moves from WE8, you'll come to grips with the dribbiling mechanics in the new version. Then you'll find out how to dribble in WE9. (Tip: If you play footbal in real life, youll have no problem ). First 5 games I was sidestepping all over the place too. No more instant 90 deg/180 turns right. He.he.
Same goes for passing. Generally not many problems, IMO. Its just that I think most people here have been playing WE series for ages and it has not changed as much as it has now.
Also the 'super-cancel' is somewhat automated to an extent now. So, if had you noticed, your AI players are moving about more now. Not fixed to one spot so much and waiting for ball. I personally feel that passing is sometimes more accurate now, from previous versions and the implementation of the near (soft touch) and far (hard touch) is much more evident now.
Of course, sometimes passes still go astray or don't end up where you want. These glitches exist,(always did in all versions) but doesn't happen all the time as to render the game unplayable as some have said.
Also passes are played into space more. So you have to also move people to receive passses just like in real football.
"Jangan tunggu bola datang, sambut bola" remember this line.
Also there's tons of new animation and opponents have new abilities for CMF/DMF that they stick out their leg more to nudge/block your passing more.
Long passing is about the same, not much changed. The passes flight have lower trajectory, though and has more pace.
1-2 passsing also more accurate, and the give 'n go pass works better now.
Thru pass is being debated everywhere. Most say its screwed up. I agree to an extent, as I liked the old style too. But still can work with it.
Anyway, there are two types as we know. Normal & chipped. Normal thru pass is more faster now, and palyed in to space a lot more ahead of your player.
All in timing now, U need to watch for the AI runs then you'll get it spot on, if your're just reacting to it, you'll find its intercepted or runs too far ahead of you.
Second, the chipped thru pass. This is the one most people are against. We'll I used this a lot too , and found it was just nice previously, since it was slower and higher.
Now, its lower, faster and less backspin, so it skips ahead more. To use somewhat effectively in in WE9, you have to execute the pass from deeper in you own half.
Have to admit that the thru pass was one of the most exploited moves in WE series. Now its not so effective all the time and we're forced to find alternative passing methods. Thats all. Have to live with it until the next 'evolution' I gues. (PES5 will be the same)
Certain people have also said that it's player dependant. Certain players with high passing/technique can weight the passes better. Can't confirm or deny this yet, since I don't switch between so many teams.

and when u r in possesion u hv to think fast cos if u poses too much then your fren will chelen u and it will foul.
No body is going to give us time on the ball to think. Thats foolish. We have to make that time yourself. One word : COMPOSURE on the ball.We have so much control on the ball now. So many move to hold the ball, diff types of modifiers for 1st touch. Dragback, shielding etc.etc. You can hold the ball and plan your move better now IMO. And the way CF's receive the ball with their backs to faol is good now.
I feel your opponent has not come to grips with the defending controls yet, thats why he's fouling so much. Once he figures it out, he'll press you even more, and may not even not foul you.

and the game tak de flow.. skit sikt.. foul
Initially yes, once you get to grips with it, no more. Why?
If your opponent pressing you so much, I'll assume he's defending a-la WE8 and holding X or SQ with R1 to close you down. Sure as hell to foul a lot like that. Just let him pick up a few cards and see what he does next. Now have to think and defend.
Bear in mind, playing defence in WE9 is so different now, that if you play aginst someone whose pressing so much (chasing you all over) there'll be many holes to exploit if you have a firm grasp of the passing, and possesion controls.

If you have only only style of play, (most of us do) and apply it to all teams, might not work for you. Also stats are there for a purpose, you HAVE to be aware of each and every players individual stats/strengths to use weaker teams. This has been the case for WE8:LE and before too. But its even more critical now. Play to your teams strengths. Cheers
