updating to the new kernel wont delete ur old one.. unless u manually remove ur old kernel, its still appear in grub selection menu. so if something goes wrong with the new kernel, u can still boot using ur old one
no harms done This post has been edited by axxer: Jan 23 2011, 09:36 PM |

QUOTE(powerwoot @ Jan 25 2011, 09:21 PM) opensuse releases the vlc updates at every new patches and version, currently enjoying the latest version watching the gundams. ohhh how i envy opensuse on debian, vlc still 1.1.3 in testing and unstable.. while 1.1.6-1 is in experimental, but only for amd64 and sparc platform. the rest platform is still 1.1.5-3 |

QUOTE(khakilang @ Jan 26 2011, 12:42 PM) I had a Aztech USB wifi adapter and I try it on Debian but it doesn't seem to support my USB wifi adapter. But Ubuntu don't have this problem. Is there anyway I can download and install the driver? It uses a rt73USB chipset. driver already in debian kernel, just need to install firmwarehttp://wiki.debian.org/WiFi/rt73 |
