^ not possible to use unetbootin to create the usb instead hmm.gif?
*
of course its possible to use unetbootin to create liveusb.. all this time i'm always using unetbootin to create liveusb and install from it. and i only found 1 distro that doesnt do well with unetbootin, aptosid...
ubuntu, linuxmint, lmde, slitaz, pclinuxos, archlive all works with unetbootin thumbup.gif

hi, wanna ask something here.. now i'm using swiftfox and i want ro remove firefox. but when i want ro remove it via synaptic, it prompt for installing iceweasel. so my question is, how do i remove firefox without automatically installing iceweasel? now already got three browser.. firefox, swiftfox and epiphany.. just wanna remove firefox to spare some space, but it prompt to install iceweasel instead doh.gif doh.gif

nevermind, solved already.. had to use "apt-get --purge remove firefox iceweasel". only then will it remove firefox without automatically install iceweasel icon_rolleyes.gif

LMDE 201101 32bit re-spin released, and officially announced icon_rolleyes.gif
http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=1614

The new ISO comes with an up-to-date live kernel which addresses the following issues:
* “Black screen of death”, live session hanging with a black screen.
* Installer hanging while configuring Grub.

No longer LMDE, showing Julia a way back to her palace. I wish to stay longer with LMDE do to it's rolling release which we do save our time from downloading new iso for each new release. And openSUSE is following suit as the developers are working on a project called Tumbleweed http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-project...1/msg00206.html started with this coming 11.4, openSUSE is going to introduce the rolling release distribution.

nice.. i would give that a chance, rpm based rolling distro brows.gif

all gui, with no text... but if you want to look like a hacker  tongue.gif  you can always enable the text mode to appear by removing any vga=0x317 word at kernel parameter. In December every year, the GRUB will change itself into pic of penguins with santa claus hat playing with the snow all over the screen. Now January, no longer santa penguin.

really that nice eh shocking.gif shocking.gif too bad my lmde didnt even have plymouth.. wont dare to install it myself sweat.gif
