Bad news from me.
my absorber is having problem.
obvious "Ngek" sound when go over bump and will report this during my first service this friday.
dissapointing la..
mine one is 1.8MT. tomorrow only 1 week old already got 2 problems.
1. Absorber
2. Air cond - the cooling effect is not consistance. not sure if due to the valve or i just need to turn it to Max cool. normall i set it around 8-9 o'clock.
keep you guys posted after my service this friday.

"nyek" sound is available in most if not all Inspiras if you read the whole thread its well documented smile.gif most of the time its once or twice per day especially in the morning only.

yscheng,

dun worry absorber prob also very common prob most of us faced, jus wait frm proton to rectify only as they wont change for u immediately.
as for aircond, the system is havin heater type so thts why need to adjust higher when compare with other proton models. its the same aircond system as the lancer sportback.
so dun worry so much, just enjoy, mine is 1.8 mt, had alot fo complaisn but soem are already evident at lancer cars such as gaps at bumpers etc and also lancer also have absorber sound.

as for the air cond, yup, need to turn the dial to 7 o'clock.

so far i am very satisfied with the car, only the 2 above problems.

Make sure you set the ac to inside recirculating air ie. the rightmost dial LED must be on (press), then you'll feel the difference.

i tot there are ppl telling, the modification proton done to inspira to so called improve the handling, is to change the absorber to kayaba.

So now we have the problem of abs, so, i guess owner can change back to lancer ori absorber to solve the problem?

the only thing they touch is abs, so now abs kong...sleep.gif

well, if mitsu cannot tune the handling of the car, they cannot create the evo x right?

well,
from what i've read, they improved the handling in terms of more acceptable towards malaysian roads a.k.a comfort.
different setup for different market
tongue.gif

then, sound "ngek" is there but i still have yet to see it as "kong" or defective suspension/absorbers.
still can take the usual corners as fast if not faster than my previous Neo.
though still need some getting used to characteristics of a sedan nod.gif

I am looking to purchase the inspira but am afraid of paying so much money for proton's lack of quality

i know it is almost identical to Mitsu Lancer but can any current owners advice on how it is so far ?

from what i gather, the absorber has some problems, hopefully this doesn't mean that quality will go downhill again like my first gen Waja... ohmy.gif

You mean the left most? tongue.gif Isn't right most the temperature? blush.gif

Anyway any of you guys notice, if you do not press (turn on) the left most knob for air circulation to the leg, the air will still flow from the leg compartment.

For 2.0P the temp control is the rightmost knob and it also controls whether you want outside air or recirculate air. The leftmost button controls demister and air blow direction. The center dial is fan speed and compressor on/off switch. All 3 dials are dual function in operation.

Ah I must have misunderstood your statement then blush.gif

Anyway without pressing the leftmost button, does the air blow direction goes according to where you turn the knob?

Left most button/knob is for demister control as well - means your rear demister on/off. Turning the knob controls direction of air flow both independent of each other.
