I just booked my 2.0P in early Dec. I dont expect to get the car before CNY. Is there a way to track the deliveries or some sort of "Q" number where we can check?

Booked my car on 6/12/10 for 2.0p White. SA informed me to settle all balances as car just arrived. Now wait for registration of chosen reg number. Chassis number is <2000. Booked in Batu Pahat, Johor. Surprised it is so fast.....Wonder? Went to view the car. Fr & Rr glass is Mitsubishi but windows are Proton. Alternator and AC compressor are MIT. Anything else to check? Don't like the full size spare tyre as boot space is sacrificed. rclxm9.gif rclxub.gif

At which point do they determine manufacturing date? After paying excise duties in the bonded yard? After leaving the last manufacturing QC in the plant or at the point of sending to the yard for storage before duties. If it's the last then probably takes 2 months to clear.

Re:Number Booking

Let's say you book a number with JPJ. After successful tender, must you wait until the running sequence reach that number bf you can register your car? Anybody can tell what's the normal runner's fee on tendering number?

Something to report for my 2.0P:
1. Leather Seating supplied by "Johnson Controls"(US Co. but dunno made where). In their Strategic Review Report for 2010, it mentioned that they supply to "Proton Lancer" (apparently Inspira name was not even established yet at that time.
2. Seat belts are from Mitsubishi.
3. The car comes with heater strengthening the rumor its more and more CBUed.
4. Wire harness was dated in Sep 2010 and also Jap origin with Jap QC stamp.

Helo bro, for the leather, if you look inside the place to simpan magazine behind the driver seat, you wil find

Yes, From Gosfordseat "Buatan Malaysia" but Packing cover with S/N from Johnson Controls. Maybe use for custom purpose lah. You know what I mean, or to comply with some local content percentage to be different from Lancer. After all, it's a different car says Proton CEO and Mitsubishi. The leather seats are quite softy and comfy and I have no complaints.

Fitted Locktech and tweeters (empty casings on door) and feel quite satisfied at the moment.

where to find the tweeters and how much? biggrin.gif

Most accessories shops will have them. Fit exactly into the holes provided. Original brands (not imitations) will cost slightly less than RM200/pair. Bargain a bit and depends on shop. You will hear the difference.

Do you feel the same with your steering. I feel that my Inspira steering is much heavier than on my wife's City and friend's Avante. Is this bcos of hydraulic vs electric ones?

Hi Guys. My 1000km is coming up soon. Do you advise to do the 1st service at COE or any SC listed in the booklet? Do you have to wait long at COE? I heard 1000km service is a fairly simple one if you have no problems just change oil and filter and visual checks.

As far as I'm concern, there are no more free service offered, BUT, yesterday I talked to one of the salesman, he said if you buy your car using Maybank car loan with 3.0% rate interest you will get 3 free labor charge voucher besides the TnG, tinted and a full tank fuel + 2 years extended warranty from Maybank and BUT if you prefer the free service ( inclusive labor and parts ) for 1 year ( if I not mistaken ) you have to opt for the 3.75% 9 years and 3.65% 6-7 years + TnG, tinted and a full tank fuel + 2 years extended warranty from Maybank.

Hope tis help as I'm also still surveying the best deal.

Cheers

I mean as a standard whether there is at least a first service at 1,000km like all cars are normally given. I am not referring to "special deals".

i wanna take off the chrome for 2.0!

How to remove it, is it stuck with double sided tape? I notice from many pics of Inspira that it's missing. Does it appear on all variants including 1.8MT?

hai guys..

i'm new here..just wanna let u gys know la..today i'm book a lancer GT (white) after a few month i had been thnking of lancer vs inspira...for me inspira is a good n affordable car...the interior is about same but exterior is a different especially front bumper...i also already test drive for both car. for me both handling are about same n comfortable to drive...so y i choose lancer? because i dont want to use local car even though inspira is 90% mitsu..hehehe...

downpayment  = RM30 000
interest rate = 3.65 % (9 years)
montly =RM1100

but what i was told by SA, start this january, lancer GT will be upgraded. they add some features like lancer EX
          autocruise
          2-DIN touch screen entertainmet system
auto sensor (rain n windows) like inspira
          mivec emblem
got some more but forgot la...hehe

so he said i 'm the 1st customer who had (upgrade) lancer GT...anyway sori guys if u dont  like my post...

cheerss....

If got all these features + 2 years free service and only RM 10K more then I think Inspira sales will start to slow.

Bad news from me.
my absorber is having problem.
obvious "Ngek" sound when go over bump and will report this during my first service this friday.
dissapointing la..
mine one is 1.8MT. tomorrow only 1 week old already got 2 problems.
1. Absorber
2. Air cond - the cooling effect is not consistance. not sure if due to the valve or i just need to turn it to Max cool. normall i set it around 8-9 o'clock.
keep you guys posted after my service this friday.

Make sure you set the ac to inside recirculating air ie. the rightmost dial LED must be on (press), then you'll feel the difference.

You mean the left most? tongue.gif  Isn't right most the temperature?  blush.gif

Anyway any of you guys notice, if you do not press (turn on) the left most knob for air circulation to the leg, the air will still flow from the leg compartment.
*
For 2.0P the temp control is the rightmost knob and it also controls whether you want outside air or recirculate air. The leftmost button controls demister and air blow direction. The center dial is fan speed and compressor on/off switch. All 3 dials are dual function in operation.
