whatever it is, i'm using pbb mobil/esso.

3% rebate (i pump more than rm500/month - including my wife car) + now extra 3% till 31/3/2011.
also! 3% rebate from esso/mobil (promo at kajang, 2x points).

so, i pump rm600 at esso/mobil, already get back rm51

(rm36 from pbb + rm15 from smiles points)

how i wish i can pump that much. using ambank if RM600 i will get the max rebate already RM80

I switched to PBB Esso/ Mobil too. I pumps around RM200 of fuel/month. So, not much saving to me. I just don't like Petronas fuel.

I also noticed that smiles pts is based on the ringgit you spend while mesra point based on litres of fuel you pump.

So basically, you will get more points when you are using Esso/mobil fuel.

Smiles points redemption = 1000 pts = RM15 while,

Mesra points = 100 pts = RM1.

Lazy to do the maths but agak agak is PBB Esso/Mobil + Smiles Card >>> MBB Petronas + Mesra Card

Hmm for CC replacement due to faulty chip, how can we talk to them and convince them the chip is faulty? As mine sometime works sometime don't...
My card is Amex Gold CC... 75% of the chip is rusted with dark brown color now...

I'm not sure if the branch has machine to verify/test the card.

I think I made such complain before on my Ikhwan AMEX.

The counter personnel took my card, rubbed the chip with an eraser and asked me to try again in the next swipe. If problem persists, go back again.

Regarding chip problem, I think Citibank is very concerned.
Because every year when I requested fee waiver, the CS sure ask me "Is the card in good condition?".

yes pay more, extra CL. but i never reached my CL for this hsbc. even gold but got plat CL

hsbc kajang accept only max 30 notes. rm50x30 = rm1500 only.
hsbc near masjid jamek kl accept max 100 notes
