Guess I can dump DA Mastercard now since no more attractive deals. Weekend rebates shortened. Petrol rebate retracted.

It's only 4th day into 2011... give the banks some time to come out with better deals. Marketing funds needs approval also.

Didn't you try to get 10000 Bonus Points to get it waive ?

I don't have that much of points since DA Platinum is not my primary or frequent used CC.

at lease i have 50% discount over 16 hotels @ KL~

To cancel DA to avoid GST charged, need to do it early. I read a clause somewhere.

Not sure if 3 weeks is enough to perform the cancellation.

Never try that but since I rarely used the CC. I doubt they'll give that to me.

I used the card for BT. So far, 5 BT done with only one ongoing to.

50% off rack rate/published rate is it ? Those credit card hotel promotions are hardly attractive. One can get better rate through travel agency.

3 cards actually... Amex for shangri-la ( my favourite) MBB WMC for Hilton( Love their buffet~) + few more hotels.. like istana, regency even tamarind hills...etc..

CIMB hotels r abit palia, best one is only Nikko KL ( but i think so so only...) so i decided to cut it off...

last year i cancel my DA Visa by call 3 days before renew date.

at the statement shows will be charged on 27 but my statement is on next 13.

cancelled it on 24 jan and my next statement 13 feb dont have the gst (2010)

but until now, the card number is there (on cimbclicks)

I think it takes 6 months for the cancelled CC number to disappear from CIMBClicks.
