It's how groups bond, I had mine so many years ago, and helped me bond with my fellow batchmates. Sometimes friendships that are formed when you go through a hell lot of stress, last a lot longer.

I usually make it a point to provide the latest CGPA/ results I have, even if it is not the final certificate. It will still serve its purpose to HR.

Hi. If one has a year of experience in Deloitte assurance and plan to jump to EY assurance, should he apply as experienced hire or graduate position? Since a lot people said experience from other firm will get discounted..

Your experience will be discounted only if you work in companies other than big four.

I got 1 senior like 1 year + exp with Deloitte, jumped to EY advisory got discounted 1 year like fresh grad back. Just apply as experienced hire they will discount you if they want to. From the day she applied until the day she got called over was like 6 months waiting time. So good luck. Lol.

Its all about the supply and demand, if they lots of choices, of course they will take their time, if they despo for ppl then it would be way faster than this. If possible try ask your frens inside the department that youre interested to join about the available vacancies so you wont waste time on those positions that may not be available for you.

Hi all, hope you all are well. Fortunately that i have cleared all my paper during the june 2015 sitting and finally an affiliate. (Cleared all in first attempt)

I have just applied to all the big 4, summited my resume and cover letter and waiting for their reply. My question is that, usually how long it takes for them to reply me? For the expected salary, i have enter RM 3000, is this too much?

Im getting a little bit anxious and afraid of getting reject by them due to my degree results (second class lower). sad.gif thats the only thing that lower down my self-esteem. Regret for being so lazy during my degree.

Congratz on your affiliate rclxms.gif

Hi there. Don't worry about it too much, usually takes ~1-2 weeks to get a reply, sometimes more. I used to call up HR after a week or so to check on my application status and it seemed to speed up the process, so its something you could consider.

Expected salary seems fine, they would offer everyone a standard package anyway (as far as I know). Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, what about my degree result, will that affect me? I am unemploy right now and i really hope to get a job in big four. Feel so useless as i am doing nothing everyday at home lol.
Thanks for the reply, however when i tell my friend (not in audit/accounting field at all) that i enter my expected salary for rm3000, he straight away say "keep dreaming". So i thought i shouldn't have enter so high.

Same question, will my degree result affect my employment oppotunity in big 4?
*
Tell him to do some googling.

Pretty sure he can verify the salary of junior associates in Big 4.

As per your degree results, I have no idea as I don't even have a degree. Just a qualification which expires when I stop paying fees doh.gif

But it should not make sure a big impact if they already interviewed you and etc.

last I heard Big4 paying non-acc at around 2.7k (lowest) up to 3.3k.

Your friend needs to come out form his shell. Not all companies pay low-standard salary package
