i dont think much can change in one day, there will definitely be IQ questions and basic numerical questions, just to test your general intelligence. haha. just go in there and be yourself!

Deloitte test is quite easy. Normal english grammar test and logical tests. Its really simple. And also an essay. Then it will end with a group assessment. Basically they will give you a case study and discuss with everyone. A partner from audit will usually be the one grading you guys for the case study. Some talkative some not so. If partners are not available, a rep from HR wil be there.

Then after 2 weeks you either straight get the job or will be asked for a second round interview. If second round interview usually will be conducted by the partner/ manager taking you in under their wing. Most proly just want to get to know you better. Lol.

I'm a fresh grade. Yes I've done it like 3 months ago. You can know your score? I dont know about my score for the test. So sorry to hear about that. Anyway, you can try the other big 4 firms. Cheer =)

Ohh. my worries is that if i cant get to join big four or other middle tier accounting firms due to poor degree results then I have no choice but to join non accounting corporate firms to work as accounts executive and at the same time pursue my papers. Then if say i finished my ACCA papers then if my previous experiences in the non accounting firm doesnt count then i have to spend another 3 years to work in accounting firm all over again.

And one more question. I know my degree is not a good one (third class honours) but then if you or anyone here has any idea whether they can loosen their entry requirements) say maybe KPMg less strict than PWC etc. cuz I still wanna give a shot to apply.

Hello there. Just to let you know I too had a terrible results for my degree. It was really difficult to enter the Big 4 when I graduated. However, besides looking at purely academic reasons itself, the Big 4 do accept special cases too if you are able to showcase on what other strengths you can bring to the firm (i.e. willingness to learn, how you have learnt from your mistakes during degree days, etc).

Just to let you know, I am an ex-EY and PwC. I was also on the PwC recruitment drives and assist recruitment for PwC couple of years back. I've subsequently taken up a regional role with a MNC. Don't be disheartened if you do not get in. But my suggestion is for you to keep trying and applying. Perhaps one way is also to attend the career fairs and drives. Speak to the recruiters face to face. Show them that you really want the job by showcasing your other talents (i.e communication skills, enthusiasm etc). They do take in too if they see potential in you.

Good luck! thumbup.gif

No. Commercial's salary growth is generally very slow.

then how true is the myth that being a manager in audit automatically entitle you to a manager position in commercial?
