I notice that battery drain fast when I am moving, for eg I am driving for 1 hour from KL to PJ and my battery drops as much as 5% sometimes. When I stay put at one place, it hardly drops 1% in one hour with wifi on.

settings: speedmod k10c with ext4nj on data. location on, gps on, 3g on.
*
U find it drain more when u moving it is because when u on 3G, the phone will try to get the 3G if possible, so it has to keep searching if u on a moving position, however, if u static, the 3G is pretty much 'locked' hence u dun notice much of drain.

Let's say if I needed to claim warranty in the future, and I flash back to stock Rom like DXJG4 or DXJPA, will the product code change back to XME or it will still show XEE...worried they won't honour the warranty la...

Thanks
*
After flash back to original rom then you can revert back to XME by the *#272# code, but i i'm not wrong only the DXJF4 has the XME csc, JG4 onwards dont have

Is it necessary to convert to EXT4NJ in order to use ext2 loopback?
I tried to enable ext2 loopback but failed...
Previous:
Data only = ext4nj, all loopback = false

New:
Data = ext4nj, loopback = ext2
Cache = rfs, loopback = ext2
DBDATA = rfs, loopback = ext2

When convert, only Data can enable ext2 loopback...
*
If you read hardcore's latest thread in xda, EXTnj has the high risk of data corruption if you pull the battery. Further more, EXT4nj + ext2 loop back make the thing worse. So for safe side, better use ext4 at the moment until they have the good solution.

Just my advise...

err .. which firmware r u on? ... eclair or froyo? .. if froyo, u can just hold onto Power Button, then select Data Network Mode to deactivate ur apn, no need use curvefish or APNDroid ...

just wanna report my speedmod usage.

Running Darky's Legendary ROM.
Been using all = Ext4nj + EXT2 loops + all tweaks

just now i changed to data = EXT4/ others=rfs, no loops + 1st & 3rd tweaks

To my surprise, my SGS runs even smoother. Opening apps is a breeze. thumbup.gif

Anyone wanna try and confirm.

^^ whenever you made changes to the partition, you'll get a free defragmentation of your partitions. Of course it's fast. Over time, you'll feel it's laggy again, since you are back on RFS. Unless of course you don't install/uninstall anything at all.

I get the kind of feel back when I was on Eclair and disabled lagfix. WOW! So smooth... yeah.... for the first couple of days... sleep.gif"

mine setting:

On LP plus.
Home screen : 3
Widget on home screen : Analogue Clock, Calendar (Samsung), APN on/off, 2G/3G, Launchpro Calendar, mobile buzz.

Always check my Setting > Application > Running Services --- make sure the Whatsapp not on.

Oh... recently change to K10H, 256Hz today at 10am where the battery was 38%... previously on K10C 500Hz, this conclude that 256Hz not battery sucker.

I think the reason i manage to get little battery drain is because i dun have those watchdog, weather widget where needed at least hourly update.

To my knowledge, lagfix does drain a little.
But Speedmod is so great, i dun even need lagfix and can feel the smoothness...
