I put accuracy 30. Read somewhere that 30 is a good no. hehehe 1) go to settings>location and security>use wireless networks off..use gps satelites on and use sensor aiding on.. 2) go to dialpad and key in *#*#3214789650#*#* to enter LBS test mode. 3) application settings: tracking, s/w test, standalone, hot start, gps plus on, dynamic accuracy on, accuracy 50,gps logging off.. 4)SUPL/CP settings: AUTO Config, SUPL secure socket on, agps mode SUPL.. 5)press back out to homescreen and reboot... 6) go back to settings>location and security>switch back on use wireless networks...try go out and test ur gps now..should lock ard 10-20secs or faster... hope it works for u guys too...this is on stock froyo btw... btw, my settings abit different; SUPL/CP settings: Custom confiq, SUPL secure socket off. I just flashed to Trasig's Voodoo RC1. Superb. It's not just flying, it's dashing and flying. It's even faster than my iPod now. (On speedmod was also faster). The extra speed came from /sys partition mounted in EXT4 and also 1.2ghz OC. Too bad, I think this kernel is going to eat up battery faster. Going to have a run for a full day first.

QUOTE(lch78 @ Dec 7 2010, 12:32 AM) Other than differently rated talk and standby times (and slightly different dimensions and weight), it seems the Nexus S has BT 2.1 as opposed to our SGS' BT 3.0. Hmm, I wonder if the Nexus S = Galaxy I9200?Why do I ask? Well, the first I9200 firmware on samfirmware is listed as Android 2.3 - anyone dare to try on their SGS? http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-i9200.htm This post has been edited by kmrdeva: Dec 7 2010, 12:39 AM |

Omg! Samsung did it again! made us wait and anticipate that a dual core processor is coming to Nexus S and then this? Worst battery life, slightly heavier, BT 2.1, no FM radio? What is this? iPhone 3G?
Nope, the I9200 rom won't work on our SGS. Going to brick the phone that's it. |

Maybe Google's quoted numbers for the Nexus S are the realistic ones while Samsung's claimed figures for the SGS are really hogswallop.. Nope, the I9200 rom won't work on our SGS. Going to brick the phone that's it. Ha ha, downloaded the I9200XXJP2.rar file to check it out.. Definitely not gonna work with our SGS - only 2 weirdly named files inside - modem.img and ubi.img. |

Yeah and the delay, from 11th nov to 16th dec dunno for what... Samsung couldn't deliver, just throw out a reason to cover. But on the bright side, looks like our SGS specs is as good as the best right now.Ha ha, downloaded the I9200XXJP2.rar file to check it out.. Definitely not gonna work with our SGS - only 2 weirdly named files inside - modem.img and ubi.img. Really curious how much linpack will Nexus S score since Nexus One scored at 45+ and it's impossible to get that score on our Hummingbird, max I got was 19.
